Only if he’s charged and the CPS think allegations are worth pursuing. This, we have to wait for. Meanwhile, the public has to formulate its opinions from the information made available By the the mainstream news media and the less controlled social media …

Brand's behaviour reminds me of some of the stories about President Clinton. One story was that he invited a woman into his office ... and came from behind his desk with his penis out ... saying: "Suck on this". (She didn't)

I've been searching for the Sound of Freedom movie which was released here in August about the real life story of a DHS agent trying get kids out of Latin America who were designated to be sold for sex abuse.
Now the Odeon and the Curzon are not showing it, they prefer Equaliser III and Nun II and now what do I find a rumour saying the real life hero is a sexual abuser just as the film has picked up momentum in the US and then goes international.
Another thing I found yesterday on Sky Arts, it was about Richard Gere who stated supporting the independence of Tibet had cost him blockbuster movies they wanted to sell to China so he had to go to Independent producers or films just made for the domestic market. He now realises his politics had a cost to his career.
I'm in two minds now whether power and money are influencing what gets shown even after Weinstein.
I do think Brand is a narcistic bully and likes to shock so believe the story about him flashing though not sure about the other claims.

I'm at a loss as to why she thinks what Rumble does regarding the matter is any business of the government's. I can't see how she has any legitimate interest in an official capacity i.e. any good reason to write the letter. Totally inappropriate use of her office. She should resign. The inquiry was in the form of an official letter. The recipient chose to make it public. Meanwhile, this morning, Home Secretary Braverman posted publicly on X (formerly Twitter), that she has launched a review to ‘ensure they have the confidence to do their jobs’. ‘We depend on our brave firearms officers to protect us from the most dangerous and violent in society,’ she wrote. Can we be certain that this is not intended to influence the outcome of a current investigation in which an armed Police officer has been charged with murder for shooting and killing an unarmed driver…?

EDIT.....Sorry I meant driving the car...

But one could argue that he did have a lethal weapon, namely the car he was in. In that case all vehicle drivers might be regarded as legitimate targets, irrespective of whether the Police have judged the situation correctly or not…

As home secretary in an elected government, it's entirely appropriate that she express opinions about the police (fire-arms officers) - or indeed anyone employed by the government generally to do a job. I am baffled as to why you draw a connection between this action and (say) a minister expressing an opinion about which customers should be served by a media company or a green-grocer. It's chronic misconduct - abuse of office.

It's chronic misconduct - abuse of office. I will try to explain: a parliamentary select committee, with legitimate oversight of social media, requests in an official letter addressed to an activity in that field, specific relevant information. The Home Secretary, also with a legitimate oversight of crime and the police, announces in sympathetic terms on Twitter/X a review of armed policing, the timing of which coincides with the arrest of an armed officer, who has beed charged with murder and is to stand trial. Both the chair of the select committee and the Home Secretary have legitimate concerns over events that are within their areas of interest. But only the Home Secretary has used social media to publicly express a view…

But only the Home Secretary has used social media to publicly express a view… Using the word legitimate twice in a row doesn't the change the fact that the use of power / influence here is illegitimate (likely illegal). If the stated powers of this committee explicitly allows its members to peruse the customer lists of private businesses and ask them to target certain citizens, then the committee needs to be abolished or reformed - because it has powers that are in contradiction to basic human rights
