Britain's deal with France to end Channel crossings can never achieve its aims because French police prefer to party rather than stop migrants, a Daily Express investigation can reveal. French police officers funded by the £480million agreement bankrolled by UK taxpayers to halt the small boats have admitted they are letting them set sail to the UK.
Instead of using British funds to mount heavier patrols, these officers are more concerned with drinking sessions and chasing women. The Express report demonstrates that the French have developed an almost brazen contempt for the fulfilment of their role for which they are receiving heavy British subsidies.
But the biggest laugh in the expose was from a Home Office spokesman who said: The Home Office has vowed to investigate the Express's revelations.
