I remember the case of Salah Abdeslam - the French bomber. He escaped after the attack and it took the French police months to find him. At the time people were mystified that he couldn't be found - just as people are now incredulous that Khalile can disappear in London.
In the case of Abdeslam he had just slipped over the border to Belgium (which is very easy because of Schengen) and gone to the terrorist capital of Europe - Molenbeek. Here he was living quite openly - going to the clubs, bars and takeaways. He used no disguise, just a false name but everyone knew who he was anyway yet no one reported him. He was living in a hard-line muslim enclave where no one would report a fugitive to the hated Kuffar police - and if they did they would have been the subject of a fatwah and would be living on borrowed time.
I suspect the same thing may be happening here with Khalile. London (or Londonistan) is riddled with muslims, many of whom will be sympathetic to the causes of Khalile. There are parts of London where he could probably live quite openly if he chose to. My guess is that he knew where he could go to be safe and has then gone abroad using fake id.
Looking at it logically this is actually quite a good result all round. After all he hasn't committed any serious crime and probably doesn't know anything of much value to hostile nations. So we avoid wasting court time on him, or the expense of imprisonment and then he "self-deports". If all our muslims did that it would be a cause for massive celebrations.

I think that the initial views that this was a highly organised escape possibly masterminded by the Iranian secret service and aided and abetted by a sympathetic London muslim community has slightly morphed into an opportunistic escape carried out by a part-time poofter using his knowledge of bondage and improvised skills with pallet strapping - and not much else. Maybe the Iranian secret service provided him with the bike and black trousers? . What started out as a daring escape has ended up as a farce as he was caught openly riding a bike in north West London a few miles from the jail. And he laughed when he was caught. As one of Khalile's school friends said "he was a nice bloke but basically didn't know his arse from his elbow". The similarities to Salah Abdeslam are pretty minimal.
