No different than P&O sacking 800 British workers on the spot, didn't appear to be anything illegal in that. Well there is unique law applying to maritime employees and anyway many maybe most of those were legally not employed in the UK. P&O didn't break criminal law but their actions not likely not in accordance with the legal rights of their employees however they've paid them off. Twitter would have considerable employment law legal immunity of they're letting go less than 100 in the UK but we'll see. My suspicion is Musk's team have just assumed US law works everywhere, it doesn't. Musk like any employee has the legal right to fire any one who he believes is not fit for purpose, it's clear Twitter were going under and Musk came to the rescue, why would it be illegal to fire staff who weren't performing well?

Musk just might create a Twitter that doesn’t tend to cancel anyone who questions the woke narrative . Thus the lefties are finding any reason or argument to cancel him .

In general it's illegal to fire staff without due process. That can take seconds for serious misconduct but most often takes weeks for redundancies of over 100 people.

Calls to block Twitter doesn’t mean Twitter will be blocked . True but we need to be coming down a lot stronger on the major online media and sales outlets that full well know they are too often fronts for illegal activity.

In general it's illegal to fire staff without due process. That can take seconds for serious misconduct but most often takes weeks for redundancies of over 100 people. That all depends on the employment terms of contract, which we don't know, I suspect it will have a get-out clause that enables Musk to do what he has done, you must remember he has the best legal teams money can buy, so I would have thought his legal team would have said 'you can't do that, it's illegal'.

I wouldn't mind betting they consist of anti-white anti-Tory plots to bring down the government, they must be crappin their pants.
Twitter the platform to shut down Trump, right wing Freedom of speech, times are changing, it's Freedom of speech for ALL.

Well Twitter UK Ltd's most recent filed accounts have £29,377 million in staff wages in them which suggests many if not all employed under UK law and under UK law you cannot have terms of contract that remove the basic legal protections.

I’m confident that if the issue of pay is legally challenged then Musk will pay them what he is obliged to pay. Imo the real issue is that the sacked employees can’t hide their activity prior to getting the bullet .

That's what they are in a flap about, they aren't worried about pay, they are worried about the content of emails that Musk has confiscated, Musk wants to get to the bottom of the far left workings of Twitter, I bet it's far worse than he imagined.

Yes they were terribly racist towards Trump, calling him Tango man, Orange face, absolute derogatory comments, can you imagine if that sort of language was used towards a black person, there would be utter outrage, and to think after all this racist abuse Trump suffered it was him who got BANNED
