As far as I am aware the only argument against putting Gary Glitter music on the radio is to stop the royalties and with Saville the only thing the man had going for him, and it was not to everyone's taste, was personality. What one has to decide is is Gill's art good or bad. If one appreciates the art then one is not supporting the acts of the man. People read Virginia Wolff but are not supporting suicide, and the artistic world is full of unstable, dubious and rather questionable personalities. We could end up with very little if we cancel everyone with questionable tastes. Although it is not a major impact on my life but I would not object to hearing Tie me Kangaroo down once in a while.
