Conspiracy theories can potentially be dangerous, but banning them far more so. The trouble with many conspiracy theories is that some posters will defend the theory long after it has been debunked. Almost as though the theory is more important than reality.

worth a thread of its own? Sure The case for free speech / the western democratic social modelor How does a governing group best encourage trust in their rule?Something like that? They'd work but IMHO your 'Conspiracy theories can potentially be dangerous, but banning them far more so' was better

Conspiracy Theories are a danger and a menaceThere are thousands of scientists in this country who have at least SOME knowledge of Covid, immunology, virology, statistical science and probably hundreds who are very highly knowledgeable in Covid19. Scientists for the most part are independent, and not controled or censured by the government ( This is not Russia ), most scientific professional bodies and organisations are independent, as are ALL scientific journals. If there was any kind of evidence that the vaccine was killing far more people than the government was telling us, you would know about it, and it would be published in medical / scientific journals, and the story would be carried by mainstream media. Ignore ANY such conspiracy unless it is supported with scientific evidence, from known or trusted scientists Explain how they are conspiracy theories when the BMJ have confirmed it?
Are you saying the BMJ are conspiracy theorists?
PS ^^ This is NOT misinformation, it is directly from the British Medical Journal, unless they are misinforming people, which I very much doubt.

There is no conspiracy theory here, it has been confirmed by the BMJ, you do know the British Medical Journal is our own medical professional.

No it isn't, the GMC is the official body, the BMJ just reports stories incl all sorts of fringe studies and if you'd really looked at you BMJ link and the link in it to the study you'll see they have removed that very study from view. I wonder why

I've no idea how you have translated that article into "more people are dying of vaccine side effects than died of Covid". Even a look at the title tells you that isn't what it's saying.

The 'fact' both the Tories who had partygate and Labour with Beergate suggests perhaps even the government and Labour felt the same way, as they clearly didn't appear to be wearing masks, social distancing, they were dancing taking selfies, so maybe the nurse was telling the truth?

Yes I agree that and the article appears to correctly outline what is in that now deleted from their site report.

Hmm, if you think that Boris's Partygate is proof that Covid was a hoax, then you're right, we obviously have different levers in terms of evidence to support theories.

It wasn't just Boris who was at the 'party', and by the way just for the record I do not personally think COVID was a Hoax, I just believe it was completely blew out of proportion.

Totally agree with your first point. Thanks for the clarification on the second, that wasn't clear before.

The British Medical Journal emphasises how rare cases are, and we all already knew that there are some potential reactions or side effects, which have in some instances resulted in death, but such cases are extremely rare. According to this published study, the reaction affects about one quarter of one percent of young people, most of whom do not die. It goes back to the same arithmatic ... what are the chances of serious illness through having the vaccine, as opposed to the risk of serious illness through NOT having the vaccine. We dont even have to think about it

Sid, the unknown with the mRNA jabs is what happens in the long term, we will find out, as it is only 2.5 years into the rollout. What about 5 years? No one knows. What is causing the current excess deaths?

I made this point a while ago on a forum far far away and it didn’t seem to sink in. Partygate and Beergate is pretty compelling evidence that the people who were privy to COVID ‘ experts ‘ at the highest level( at the time ) were not frightened of the disease and didn’t feel that COVID was dangerous enough to heed the instructions given to the public.
