The sub-heading of an article in the Economist this week which poses the question “Should women’s football have different rules from men’s?” The article cites a report by Arve Vorland Pedersen, a neuroscientist and sports scientist at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, which that "Women are indeed playing a game that is subtly different—and considerably harder—than the one being played by the men. The researchers start from the observation that women are physically different from men in many ways. Women are shorter than men (168cm v 182cm in a Norwegian sample). Female footballers are lighter (65kg v 76kg). Women are slower (4.84 seconds to run 30 metres, v 4.25), and cannot jump as high (36cm v 57cm). Those differences persist even among the most athletic members of each sex.” The report goes on to note that:
“The researchers then try to scale the size of a football pitch to account for those anthropometric differences. A pitch that was the same relative size for women as it is for men would, they say, be 93 metres long and 61 metres wide, down from the current recommended dimensions of 105 metres x 68 metres (see table). Nor is it just the pitch. Shorter female keepers can cover a smaller part of the goal than a man can. To achieve parity between the sexes, the women’s goal, say the researchers, should be shrunk from 7.32 metres wide and 2.44 metres high to 6.76 metres across and 2.25 metres high. Even the ball would change: taking account of women’s lower leg strength would require a ball weighing 287 grams, rather than the 430-grams of a standard male ball (though that would alter how the ball behaves in flight). Put another way, say the researchers, expecting women to play with a men’s ball is a bit like asking men to kick a 623-gram basketball-sized sphere around.” It's not as though other women’s sports have not adjusted standards to take account of sex differences:
“In athletics, women put lighter shots, throw lighter discuses and leap over lower hurdles than men do. The WNBA, a women’s professional basketball league in America, uses a lighter ball. Volleyball uses a lower net. Indeed, women’s football used lighter balls until the 1990s.” But football seems remarkably resistant to such accommodations. Why is that one wonders? An article by Laura Woods, recently appointed as chief presenter for TNT Sports, which appears in today's Mail may provide a clue:
It's cos we's all ekwal innit.

Nice to see the Feds are developing women football hooligans along with their previous invention of the males counterpart. As if women don't scream enough already.

No, it's because football is now, and always has been, a girl's game!

According to some research a chap I was following years back had produced, it was in the 1930s in America where the communists infiltrated their churches. This was all kept rather hush hush as it was a typical commie covert operation. It seems to me the same was repeated in Britain, but their commie infiltration was leading ours, so it was possible at one time to say the American church had become corrupted when compared to the British counterpart. The sign that things were not to last I think became obvious when they decided to admit women and make them into vicars and bishops.
I've noticed this correlation a lot myself. Wherever you have a woman running a church you are more than likely to also see that church fly a gay pride flag on days the Feds send the messages to do so. So it was like they were making gay the new religion and having special days for it as per the format of how the church had a calender of days that celebrate religious things and various saints. I suppose you could imagine football to follow, given its totally mindless nature. The stupid tag of lioness has not gone unnoticed for me either. In traditional catholic cosmology the animal kingdom was below man and man sat below god, so it is only natural for the Feds to wish that people move down the cosmic hierarchy and successfully into hell. Give it 20 years and these women will be fighting each other with their teeth.

Earlier this week the Times carried an article with the headline "England roar into first World Cup final since 1966".
The obvious intention being to draw an equivalence between winning the actual World Cup and the womens' version. A world cup won by any team being of equal merit and value to any other - a constant refrain from proponents of the 'womens game'.
Pure propaganda of course. Wiser counsel seems to have prevailed and the article has been taken down.
Apart from anything else, it was a blunder. England teams have reached the final of a World Cup twice since 1966 (and won both times).

The scam is that the meaning of winning the so-called woman's world cup is it does not prove our nation is the best. It proves feminism has been advanced more rapidly here than anywhere else, since that is the prerequisite to enticing women to play a man's game. In a way it really says the opposite and is some sort of scheme to mask the inadequacies of the nation. It likes to think it is top of the world in everything, where it is actually falling behind in everything. Sport is hardly that important anyway. It was back in ancient Greece as they needed strong and fast fighters, where today that is all replaced by technology. In the end I can see the only strong industry we will be left with is the clown industry. These are our latest clowns, the Nexus Sixes!

So you will gave to forgive my extreme puzzlement that an England team gave reached the final of the world cup twice since 1966 AND WON BOTH TIMES. I’m sure i’d remember sone sickeningly woke idiot making a REALLY big noise if they had fetched home the trophy Which brings me to the fact it IS my new(ish) son in law’s game. And this gives me ample chance to bait him with taunts that if you want a man’s job done, send women to do it. I won’t be bothering to watch the match. Tomorrow at 11 i believe, but i only think that because Wetherspoons told me they’re doing some specials for it. But if they do the deed then i shall probably crack a smile and order a pint to celebrate - and prepare to make my son in law’s sporting interest a point of shame for a couple of years

johnofgwent 11am on Sunday, so all Welshmen will be in their local Methodist chapel anyway there are none left, well the ones my wife’s grandparents were members of has fallen down, the one her parents went to was bulldozed, and the chapels i preached in have become carpet shops, sikh temples, vegan coffee bars and doss houses soup kitchens and food banks. The choir from the last one i stood in the pulpit of, which was demolished when they rebuilt a roundabout / interchange, will be singing and drinking in Cwmbran Wetherspoons. Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band explain why in the flyleaf of their CD ‘chaoel and tavern’ nade for their Chapel And Tavern Tour 2023. History is reversing itself.

Libby Lane promotes idolatry. Who'd have thunk it. The church did warn against appointing women bishops. She was the first.

Perhaps they should have ignored her and gone to church anyway to pray for a win.
