So scrap exams where you pass and fail because thats not fair on those that fail and give everyone a pass certificate...
Also scrap Grammar Schools because they are doing too well and bring all schools down to the lowest common denominator..if one child has to go to a bog standard Comp all kids should go to a bog standard Comp..
Not even the Soviet Union went in for lunacy like that..

Exactly I have been listening to Labour on Class for decades its all the Toffs and Rich that are holding you back, FFS the days of flat caps shawls and Clogs have gone, they destroyed many of the Grammar Schools where those with ability to pass the entrance exam could have a good education, those of who could not back in my day went to what were called Secondary Modern and many did well left with good qualifications
What Labour should be advocating is getting Parents to take responsibility for their kids by teaching them to learn to read at an early age even just the basics , some kids enter school that cannot even read, tie their shoes laces or us a knife and fork properly, some parents don't even have a book in the house, no wonder every other word is " Like " they have watched TV instead of reading English Literature they have such a limited vocabulary.
Labour should be trying to bring all schools up to the standards of the better performing schools , not dragging them all down, and get rid of the Left Wing Teachers their personal Politic Ideals has no place in any school.

Failing or passing a child / pupil based upon ONE exam on one given day lasting perhaps two hours is grossly unfair and has the capacity to grossly distort that pupils ability.
Passing or Failing a pupil based on course work over the period of at least a term, or over a year will give a far more accurate and much fairer picture.
Grammar Schools are not neccessary - a COMPREHENSIVE school means just that, a learning establishment in which all pupils of all abilities are catered for.

The narrative of our gentle slide into academic mediocrity .

I am not a comrade, not a supporter of Mr Corbyn, and I have no time for outdated practices such as singing "The Red Flag".
As tax payers we want to provide children with good education at a cost which is value for money, and Comprehensive Education does just that.
Having separate schools for brighter children is not value for money, and it divides communities and creates a kind of elite section of society.
