'Not viable!' Britons snub BBC as 2.8 million revolt against licence fee
Britons have snubbed the British Broadcasting Corporation as 2.8 million revolt against paying the licence fee. A record 2.84 million people no longer cough up the £159 annual fee because they do not watch BBC channels or any kind of live TV.
The latest figure is an increase of more than 360,000 on the previous twelve months. It will also raise further questions about the financing model behind the UK's national broadcaster.
