Alex Salmond says disgraced Margaret Ferrier was thrown to 'media wolves' by SNP
Alex Salmond has said Margaret Ferrier was "thrown to the media wolves" by a disloyal SNP, though Humza Yousaf has dismissed his views as being in a "minority".
The Alba Party leader said that despite Ms Ferrier's "serious mistake" in breaking coronavirus rules, there should not be a by-election in her constituency.

She exposed the public to Covid and potentially caused deaths.
It's a shame she wasn't sent to prison.

She exposed the public to Covid and potentially caused deaths. It's a shame she wasn't sent to prison. heres what salmond said...
Mr Salmond, whose party has two MPs in Westminster, said Ms Ferrier’s censure was excessive.
The Alba Party leader said: “The reality is that Margaret Ferrier was thrown to the media wolves by a then-first minister anxious to divert press attention from the other public health failings of her administration and sentence pronounced by those with a vested interest in a by-election.
“The current First Minister has carried on this disgraceful lack of compassion to a woman who has devoted her life to furthering the cause of Scottish independence.
“If SNP members need to understand what has gone wrong with their party they need look no further than this totally depressing display of disloyalty.”
Mr Salmond said Labour were “like political vultures” and called for pro-independence parties to put forward a single candidate under a “Scotland United” banner if there is a by-election.

Does this mean that Salmond is advocating that those who espouse Separation are above the law? What on earth does her views on independence have to do with the fact that she knowing put at risk many fellow passengers, told lies and flouted the regulations. Salmond is an arse clutching at any wild and improbable straw to attempt to get back in the limelight. The SNP are doomed, the Ali BAba Party has never got of the ground and now Ricky has created 200,000 new jobs in Aberdeen these losers will be out on their ear next election.

I think what Sammy the Seal is saying is that Rutherglen and Hamilton West is a pretty up and down sort of seat and if there were a by election now, the SNP would lose to the Labour party. Nor does Alba look too clever right now, so Alex is advocating sitting back and hoping for better days.

The police and courts decide prosecution or not , not alec salmond or nicola sturgeon. The point is in political terms , salmond is saying she has been excessively punished enough and that sturgeon threw her to the wolves to divert from her own failings and that of her government.
You and vinny at times on these threads om are on a par with your fellow countryman darling on the farage threads.......inable to use common sense as hatred blinds you to all else. What do you mean seperation and what law? Scottish law?
she did flout the regualtions , but put peoples lives at risk? Give me fucking peace om. are you telling us you were one of those in terror of the chinese sniffles?
aye ok om. To save time wasting writing new posts on the same old theme , why dont you just write you hate scottish independence , are terrified of your uk ending , and that the snp , and other indy parties are doomed in your opinion , and that their honeymoon is over wether you know anything about scottish politics or not.
Copy and paste , rinse and repeat , on every thread.
Cause in a nutshell om , thats about the nuts and bolts of every post you make on these threads.

The polls dont look good for the snp in the seat at the minute , without a doubt , but with both starmer and his branch manager sarwars popularity plummeting in scotland , with the uxbridge by election tending to suggest the next election isnt going to be the triumph for starmer many are expecting , if there is a by election it could be a seat labour take back very temporary.
By my reckoning they have another half an hour to get the recall petition to 10% of the constituents.
Salmond knows yousaf is a muppet of the highest order , sturgeon has fucked the snp religously , and that alba are still a fairly new party with loads of work to do , but as ever he is thinking long term .

In short Salmond has noticed that wherever the Nats vote is going, it ain't heading towards Alba's way.
When Sammy the Seal talks of the long term, that is code for oh fuck, what do we do now ?

Give it time borkie. Alba were two years old in february and their vote has slowly increased despite all the unionist and snp drivel thrown at them.
Your reply seems to be a variation of the same thing once again you have been hoping for for years now...that is the jocks get back in their box go back to returning fifty feeble labour mps who are pretty harmelss and meanginless in the scheme of things , and the union safe.
I keep telling you that isnt happening ,but deluded hope is a terrible thing.
Labour may gain scottish seats as the snp implode in the next GE , but the idea thats because the snp vote is moving away from supporting indy en masse is of course laughable. More likely , as normal with labour , they will get their geriatric unionist vote out o nthe day , and the indy vote might stay home apathetic.
It could deliver them maybe 12 scottish seats? From a low base just now , i suppose anything is better such is the unionists desperation. Its a long fight though , and as the uk slowly slides down , and the publics medium term outlook is increasingly bad , its a fight you will have to win over and over again and again.
Its interesting though , as many have said , how desperate unionists are to attack salmond and take him serious despite trying and failing to ridicule him repeatedly. If he at least does what farage has done in england , ie doesnt have much luck in terms of votes at elections , but drives scotland to a scexit , i will be happy with that.

Enjoy the by election, but, with the General Election just a year away, turnout will be down and that could lead to surprise results.
