When will Blair realise that his endorsement is the kiss of death to any project? Although it's a good job that he doesn't. I think he just loves the attention. He literally gets off on being hated.

Can't help getting the impression he regrets having left politics so early. He clearly longs back.

Can't help getting the impression he regrets having left politics so early. He clearly longs back. He didn't have a choice, once it was established he lied about WMD in order to start a illegal war in Iraq, his political career in the UK was over.
The little pipsqueak, is worming his way back into UK politics, hoping most people will have forgotten his war crimes, and the ones who are too young to remember, mainly the young Woke Snowflakes.

I created a topic in this very issue in the European Union section - and I agree totally with Tony Blair, it will happen, but probably not for quite a few years.
The government of Boris Johnson admitted that the economy is worse off, I know that, we all know it, and all institutions which measure the economy all conclude that leaving the EU has retarded growth.
Its the "Demographic Time Bomb" as much as anything which will evenentually take us back into the European Union. The huge divide in opinion from the younger age groups to the older age groups is gradually widening as the older generation dies out.
Brexiteers have to now accept that it is THEY who are now a minority, 7 years on from the referendum.
But democracy must prevail ( for now ) because the fact is that by a narrow percentage, we did vote to leave the EU only seven years ago, and that matters. Perhaps in another 5 or 6 years, maybe more, one of the political leaders will suddenly realise that giving voters another say will be a vote winner.
I believe that a future referendum ( when it comes ) will give us three options .... Stay Out ... Rejoin ... Norway Style, membership of the wider European Economic Area but not members of the EU.

Not me, he can only get power and influence by you giving him some. Personally I detest him but I won't be giving him the chance via you to become important in my life or politics. Whatever, but take it from me Blair is spearheading the remoaner plot to rejoin the EU, and he doesn't give a flying fuck who gets in his way, he's getting the UK back in the EU, and that's his mission. Good. Then we can get rid of all that faux nationalism and ridiculous red tape.

Blair still doesn't understand his own role in causing it.

Just counted that the UK has seven former PMs still alive. I wonder is there any other country with so many former PMs or presidents still alive.

Most of whom are keeping their mouths shut and not trying to undermine democracy. Could a Tory voter use this argument next Year ? "we had a vote in 2019, and we voted for the Conservatives, so why are we having another general election, this is undermining democracy" If The People or The Electorate change their minds, are they never allowed another democratic vote - or is it like FOR EVER.

Labour are not advocating going back into the EU Sid. And, your love of the EU is rather puzzling.
It's an insular protectionist crap political union that has more in common with the British Union of Fascists, than modern democracy.

I have proved it and posted it a number of times, so I know I can prove it and I absolutely know you cannot prove your out and out lie. And I am pretty sure you know you cannot prove your lie. UN res. 1441 proves your post is a lie and I have no doubt that you have never read and understood it. You have all the proof you need in 1441. And there is plenty more besides. The un let’s countries do all sorts with the right backing, ask the Israelis. That has nothing to do with the invasion of Iraq.
