People would vote the Tories back overwhelmingly if Sunak, etc, stopped the boats. But the people ceded control to both U.K. and foreign Brexiteer forces. Lead story in tonight’s London Evening Standard: 76% say Britain is worse place to live as taxes and NHS crisis waits take toll‘Snot our fault — the rest of the world’s all got it in for us… Are you surprised? Compared to what Britain was before mass immigration became trendy it is a shit tip today, but judging by the hoards that are crossing the channel every day, I'm guessing it's still not 'yet' as big a shit tip as the EU. You may be correct in assuming that EU countries are making more benefits from their immigrants — quite a few Brits made it good in France, Italy and Spain not to mention Brussels. But the claim was that by leaving, EU immigration (meaning foreigners living here) would be reduced was false, a lie, a way of livening up a scare. Bigots won — but what have they actually won…?

This is the same reply you made last time. It doesn't help them if the democratically elected administration isn't in control. The UK public has lost democratic control of the UK government, the UK government has not lost control of the territory of the UK. Apologies, but that’s either total bollocks, or I don’t understand your convoluted thinking. This might just be a semantic problem. The UK government is the body in control of the territory of the UK. Your version is that there is no body in control of the territory of the uk (ie that we have no government) and mine is that the government exists - ie there is a body in control - but it is not elected. I hope this clarifies a bit.

How many Brits who move to France, Italy and Spain not to mention Brussels, turn up without passports and claim to be refugees?

The point is how many Brits can no longer move so easily to France, Italy and Spain not to mention Brussels for work if they want to? Locals are now always the officially preferred choice, even if they're less qualified or suitable. So Australia, Canada the US are now attracting skilled people thousands of miles away, from where they're less likely to return.
I realise that after a career in the military, where you even have to be told what foot to start walking on, that saluting a flag in your garden must now be the highpoint of free thinking of your day, but you should understand that many of us younger (active under 50's) actually enjoy working and earning a living from useful activity...
