BBC scotland are doing their damndest to protect the scottish branch , as civil war rages in the labour party regarding starmers top down policy pronouncements from london like the two child cap .
Unions extremely angry with starmer into the bargain , his approval ratings dropping , polling lead looking shaky and extremely shallow , and left wing voters deserting him in droves , its not looking good for sir kid starver.
We just need to public to emulate the unions at the next general election with a large thumbs down , and we can breathe a sigh of relief for another parliament term.

Paul Embery writing in spiked online wades into the political pygmies in uk politics like keir starmer.....
Examining today’s Labour Party, it is almost impossible to imagine the shadow cabinet engaging in the kind of debates their forebears were having in 1976. Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour seems to have no economic principles to speak of, and there is very little debate within the party. Sure, frontbenchers may occasionally make the case for a bit of tax-and-spend redistribution here and there. But, for the most part, they have little to say on the big macroeconomic questions. They have settled into the groove that accepts the market knows best. That business chiefs, technocrats and bankers are best placed to make all the tough economic calls. And that the role of government should extend little further than trying to redistribute resources more fairly.
It was an approach typified earlier this year by shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves when she was questioned about the impact of the Bank of England’s hike in interest rates. While she recognised that higher interest rates would cause misery to many families, she also said that it really wasn’t the place of politicians like her to question the decisions of central-bank officials. Apparently, the bank knows best and that’s the end of the matter.

Labour's 2019 manifesto had 105 pages!!!
That's too long and too detailed to get anything across.
The Tory 2019 69-page manifesto was titled Get Brexit Done and had plenty of large pictures.
KISS mostly wins — Keep it simple stupid...

i agree roughly with your points about punchy slogans and simple messages.
Im not sure labours 2019 manifesto was a good example though of what not to do. Labours problem in 2019 , as it often is , was they were against pubic opinion on getting brexit done , and their silly ambiguous policy on brexit turned off voters , especially red wall former labour party brexit supporters.
Had theygot on board with a simple message on getting brexit done , the main political point of the election , then the 105 pages on further policy wouldnt have mattered.
