I am glad we sold our properties in Edinburgh because I am buggered if I can see how we would have installed a heat pump in Albert Street or Easter Road. Still, I imagine that Humza Yousaf and the SNP have thought that through

borkie didnt you read your own article mate? I know its hard to keep up with events in the world north of the watford gap , but you must try and read between the lines of the latest snp bad story.
The flack about boilers etc is being deflected onto the snp coalition partners.........
Patrick Harvie, the green zero carbon buildings minister, said the Scottish Government wanted “all homes to reach new energy efficiency standards by no later than 2033”.
But Douglas Lumsden, the Scottish Tories’ shadow net zero secretary, said: “The green minister is typically acting like he knows best by ploughing ahead with these plans. This is hugely naive considering he has put in a pitiful amount of the funding required to support homeowners to replace gas boilers.

apparently while lecturing to the rest of scotland about the evils of gas boilers , wee patrick harvie canne have a heat pump installed in his fancy tenement flat , so is stuck with his.
Green tail wagging the snp dog.
Heres hoping both snp and green get a kicking and Alba replace them.
# edit to add borkie , wee patrick harvie is the leader of the scottish green party in case you hadnt heard of him. Him and his green sidekick lorna slater are regarded as complete clowns that are a clear and present danger to the people of scotland.

Because they know that while Alba is still a fringe party in the polls, what actually matters in reality is politicians who are capable of making the political weather, not just reacting to it. (This might be a timely point to remember that Brexit, the biggest political change in Britain in the last 50 years, was brought about chiefly by a man who’s never been elected to anything in his life.)
On that scale Alex Salmond is a Category 5 hurricane, and with the indy leadership stage essentially vacant, it’s no wonder that the enemies of independence are once more scurrying for their dank, rancid basements in growing panic

One again the SNP are fucking stupid.
They shouldn't be doing that, they should be developing renewable gas instead.

I have heard of him Tommy, I just don't like being reminded of the fact.
As I have probably mentioned ad nauseam, I am a bit of a green myself, but I don't know any eco warriors that don't make my haemorrhoids bleed
