We know a whole load about what fascists have done, but to define them in these terms seems to make for a lot of confusion. Is it possible to use inductive reasoning to reverse engineer these people and find out the cause of fascism? I'm not talking about historical figures being the cause, as this is often the official way we understand it. I'm talking about the mental processes of the mind that give rise to it.
Inductive reasoning can be a tiresome process. You have to kind of make an educated guess of the initial conditions, then deductively reason if such conditions give the outcome you observe. It's trying to find an explanation which fits all the facts. So after much ado I have a theory. It's very simple, but I think it does indeed lead to pretty much the whole explanation of all that has unfolded in our history.
The theory I have is that a fascist is a kind of retard or possibly someone who is mentally ill. I think the two are synonymous anyway because mental illness is defined as a condition of the mind that is debilitating in some way. A healthy mind is one that seeks to survive and reproduce remember. A severely retarded mind is clearly in that definition of the reverse.
Now the particular debilitating feature of this fascist mind has to do with how we weigh something up. We make millions of judgments each day on if something is too much, too little or just about right. A healthy mind has the ability to make fine judgments. Say you are driving and there is a gap to overtake, the more refined the judgment of this size of gap the safer you will be. This is just an example of a general feature of the mind. We assess levels of things. A fascist mind can not do this. A fascist mind in the extreme only has two states, either pass or fail. This is the problem of the fascist, so no matter what it is the fascist has to squeeze all of reality into a binary form.
Here is a rather contrived example to illustrate what happens if a bloke suffers from fascism in a village. The village contains all sorts of people from the excellent to the worst imaginable. If we were 8 bit computers we would rank them on a scale of 0-255. A fascist mind is like a 1 bit computer. So we might see a villager of a goodness rating of 56/255. It's just a random figure. All these rankings to be comprehended by the fascist mind fall into two categories, friend or foe. The fascist does learn though. Lets say the fascist makes a guess and says I'll put anyone below 128 as bad and the rest good. I can trust the good ones, but have to distrust the bad ones. Note also trust level is a two state variable! You can see that the fascist is going to get burnt many times with semi-evil people, so the learning process learns to allocate a higher percentage to the evil rank and that then keep the fascist safe. Only the most trusting pass, until the fascist is trusting no one. This is where all hell breaks loose.
You could run through the case with Jews if you like and I think you will find similar to my example.

The Baron You'll never be accused of hiding your light under a bushel, Baron ... that's for sure. A work of great interest which you've clearly put some thinking time into, and with a lot of ground to claw back, given the considerable loss of credibility you suffered when admitting to an inability to distinguish between the news bulletins and the comment and opinion sections of GB news, I wish you well with your quest. A couple of points jumped out at me, if your conclusion is correct that those under discussion segregate people into one of two groups .... to quote you ' the fascist mind fall into two categories, friend or foe', even if your analysis isn't solely intended to pinpoint Vinny as an identikit Fascist for us, were you aware that might be the obvious conclusion ?, so maybe you could expand on your theory slightly and advise whether a loud and frequent proclamation of a love of democracy is a frequent cover used by the undercover fascist ? How far has analytical thinking, or inductive reasoning progressed to the present day on this subject ? ....... I'm wondering whether Fascists themselves haven't done a spot of self-analysis over the years, and reconsidered who they can and can't be mates with ..... if so, then your final line may make all those who considered the Azov Brigade and Zelensky strange bedfellows, have to think again.

One of the areas fascism seems to be creeping into is the state. Lets take the example of the concept of discrimination. The base idea is sound, in that everyone should agree it is bad to be unfair to a particular group. You may have a northern accent and move to London and find the interviewer in the job judges you by your accent rather than your track record. It's bad for the economy and lazy thinking to take a cue and then form a total view on something. So if we say the state should organise its own affairs so it encourages fair practices then we're all in agreement, or else you would be agreeing to be unfair.
Now lets modify the above and see how it works when we stop looking at things proportionately. The politicians get the mandate to end discrimination, but this claim in itself is of binary nature. It reduces a level of discrimination to it existing or it not existing. Once the public say yes to measure, the fascist will aim for total purity. They will root out any discrimination, no matter how trivial. They even have a name for this practice and it is called zero tolerance. The fascist proclaims there will be zero tolerance towards the person who displays the slightest intolerance towards a protected group.
