I think most people might have heard of The Mad Hatter's Tea Party, the product of a drug fueled writer's imagination.
Less people might have heard of The Mad Thatcher's Tea Party, a product off evil. The mass murderer, Augusto Pinochet thought nothing of flying over from Chile to take tea with Thatcher. Guess who he might well have joined there, none other than the infamous serial pedophile and rabid Tory, Savile, who regularly took tea with Thatcher. Thatcher herself destroyed more UK industry than the Nazi Luftwaffe and put millions out of work. Who knows what other vile specimens of humanity attended those, if you will, tea parties from hell.

They're all dead. Distant and dead. Yes they're all dead but apparently the dead can still give advice to the living when summoned on Halloween.

You may have got away with your anti Thatcher rant had you not mentioned Saville who you associate with the 'rabid' Tories. Are you really unaware that the left wing Labour supporting BBC protected Saville and for years turned a blind eye to his extra curricular activities.

I don't believe that the BBC have ever supported Labour. They might be left wing on some issues but certainly not on most. Savile was protected by the Tory Party and that's why people were scared to out him.

Jane Garvey, Radio 4 presenter, recalling Tony Blair’s election victory in 1997... ...“I do remember… the corridors of Broadcasting House were strewn with empty champagne bottles. I’ll always remember that”
Ben Stephenson, BBC controller of drama commissioning said... ...“We need to foster peculiarity, idiosyncrasy, stubborn-mindedness, left-of-centre thinking.”Andrew Marr said... ..."The BBC is a publicly-funded urban organisation with an abnormally large proportion of younger people, of people in ethnic minorities and almost certainly of gay people, compared with the population at large. All this, he said, creates an innate liberal bias inside the BBC”. biasedbbc.tv/quotes-of-shame/Anyone who doesn't know the BBC is a liberal left wing Labour supporting organisation, has never watched or listened to the BBC. As for Saville, the BBC were very aware of his sexual proclivities which is why they kept him well away from the annual Children in Need telethon.

There's a difference between having left wing views and being a Labour Party supporter. In fact the Liberals once claimed they were more to the left than Labour. I suppose they were when Blair was leader. I suspect that a lot of those BBC employees were more liberal left and were just glad to get rid of the Tories.

Yes, you do have to admire the impartiality steering the BBC. Anyway, Thatcher's legacy was Labour's to embrace. Once Labour spent all the money and sold all the gold they were out.

Industry was already well destroyed by the time Thatcher got to it. I believe a major turning point was around the 60s time. People were flush with money then, but there were big problems for major firms. I've tracked the histories of quite a few and they all seems to run into trouble at that time. The ones left in the 70s were hobbling along. They were going to die sooner or later. One big reason was the demise of the empire. We milked it to much. Thatcher was only different in that she was honest. If Labour had won they could have chucked more tax money at the problem but it would be wasted and still die. The unions also helped to slit their own throats. Management were having a lot of trouble - unions gave them double the trouble.

LOL you really are having a laugh, I'm struggling to believe that I've actually found someone who thinks the BBC is not left wing, this is priceless. You are clearly unaware that when Andrew Marr was at university, with Jon Lansman the founding member of far left group Momentum, he was known as 'Red Andy'. After university he became a Maoist and a member of the Socialist Campaign for a Labour Victory, a left-wing pressure group founded by far left Labour Party members, and he was editor of the left wing Independent newspaper before talking over as political editor at the BBC. And if you think Andrew Marr is the only longstanding BBC employee with a very left wing background, you should make better use of google.

I think I already said that the BBC was left wing on some issues. What I did say was that I don't think they ever supported the Labour Party. Employees may have done but not the people in charge who make the decisions. For instance, I'm 100% sure that the current Director General doesn't support the Labour Party.
As for 'Red Andy', I think he has long since turned blue.
