Heavy helicopters are circling around London — the last time we saw this, the Donald was due to meet the Queen.
Does any other head of state get this amount of protection — andisit really necessary…?

Seems so - four Presidents have been assassinated, and attempts were also made on the lives of two other Presidents, one President-elect, and one ex-President. Its not the safest job... |

The. Coronation didn’t get this amount of noisy security, and it drew massive crowds to London. Mind you, I notice the union flags are still up in the London Borough of Bromley wonder if they’re to block site lines of the Ulez cameras…

I'm so sorry to hear you are being kept awake by aircraft noise, PP. My daughter lived in Fulham for a while and the aircraft approaching Heathrow were very frequent. She moved to Kent, eventually. Just watched Biden enter number ten, less than half an hour later he emerged. He declined to speak to waiting reporters and climbed into a car. Sunak did not wave him off, he came to the door and immediately went back inside. The body language said it all. Yet again Paddy Biden puts his dislike of the UK on display.
