Stop lying Morayloon.
You know full well that in 2014 the UK Independence Party had won the EU elections and they held the balance of votes. It was obvious to anyone with half a brain that holding a referendum on UK EU membership was the deciding issue of the 2015 election that determined who would win. And obvious to anyone with half a brain that there was a 50% chance of the UK leaving the EU.
You place too much stock in polls. UKIP won the EU elections of 2014 with 4.376 million votes. Add 4.376 million to the electoral results of the parties who participated in the 2010 election.
If Labour had backed a referendum on UK independence in 2015 they could have won it. But without the 4.376 million votes, they hadn't a hope in hell.
You knew full well what would happen. And the good news is that UK independence is a success.
£340 billion in sales to the EU now we're out. Before the referendum we were selling £223 billion to the EU. Adjusting for inflation that's £297 billion.
So we're enjoying £43 billion extra above inflation sales to the EU.
And our sales to the rest of the world are up too.
Stop living in the past, look to the future.

Stop living in the past, look to the future. UKIP did not win in Scotland - they only received 10.5% of the vote. The only reason they achieved that was because of the low turnout of 33.5%. The only reason they won in the UK was down to the low turnout. Like I said, Alex Salmond referred to the possible outcome in the White Paper. Where is this 4.376 million from. There was a majority of only 1,269,501. That means, to snatch victory, only about 640,000 voters, of those who voted, were needed to change their support to Remain. That figure says all there is to say about the 'decisive' Leave decision. Brexit has been a disaster full stop!!!

UKIP won the UK EU elections in 2014 my fellow Brit. They won 4.376 million votes INCLUDING votes for David Coburn, the only MEP to ever stand in the EU Parliament in a kilt. It wasn't a Scottish devolved election it was a UK election THE WHOLE COUNTRY voted and you were outvoted. If you'd been paying attention you'd have realised what was happening.

Scotland voted as a constituency. As far as I am concerned it is the Scottish result that is paramount. UKIP got a kicking. Scotland rejected the RW, isolationist, xenophobic fanatics and did so again at the Brexit referendum He wore a kilt? So what?

British voters. And UKIP won, fellow Brit. As has been usual since 2011, the SNP has held sway and the 2014 EU elections and the Brex Ref were cases in point. We took a different path from the English but were dragged out anyway

Brexit has been a disaster full stop!!! so your main argument is that what took place came about because only a small number of those eligible to vote got off their fat arses and walked out into the rain and slush to make their view count ? Ok. I mean I'm all in favour of imposing a minimum turnout below which a change to the status quo cannot occur but would that really help you ?
