I have enough experience of SNP whinges about the English all the time. Over and fucking over again my fellow Brit. If you can't see it, perhaps it's because you're so swept up in all of it, you haven't noticed your own behaviour is telling. Any time it's a world cup, I support any British team and would be delighted if Scotland, or Wales won it, hell even Northern Ireland. Any time it's a world cup you SNATs support anyone but England. Xenophobia. Democratic decisions happen? You blame the English. England provides the bulk of British taxes, and subsidises Scotland. The SNATs deny this and denigrate the English whilst pretending that the British Parliament is an English one. It's a racist movement that you are part of. Leave it. Do something good with what's left of your life rather than spewing hate at the English. You're living in the past. No concrete evidence then! If you mean Brexit: it was the English vote that hauled Scotland out. Westminster is an English Parliament. This is clearly seen with EVEL where Scots are not allowed to vote on English matters. Yet, on matters controlled by Holyrood, the English Parliament sees fit to interfere. Scotland, one of the few remaining English colonies.

Aren't you talking about the English and their hatred of johnny foreigner? Couldn't get to run the EU their way so they stormed out. The EU countries were probably glad to see the back of you and your continual moaning. Just a pity that Scotland was forced out against its will because of the racist anger of a majority of your people. England doesn't hate johnny foreigner. There were a number of reasons for leaving the EU, and none of them had anything to do with hating foreigners. Nobody was trying to run the EU, only negotiate further in an ever changing world, which failed and triggered the leave debate. I think you're mistaking England for Scotland, or more so Indyism, which has always been motivated by hate. Oh, and Scotland wasn't ever in the EU, the UK was, and it left the same way it joined the EEC. A UK-wide referendum - a system Scotland had the privilege to vote on. They chose this system and rejected you. A sizeable minority don't. But, as I said in a previous comment, Brexit showed the views of the majority. The EU is an organisation for the good of all its members. The Brits couldn't get over the fact that they put more in than was returned. That's what happens with a rich economy - it is there to come to the assistance of the poorer member states. I give you the challenge I set for another poster - back up your ridiculous accusations! As for your last wee paragraph, Scotland was in the EU and English votes forced us out. Scotland voted REMAIN 62% to 38%. Showing that this country is outward looking and Internationalist whereas your country is mired in the shite of hatred of others. The focus on 'the boats' and refugees running amuck have racist overtones.

Oh shut up about our democratic vote to leave the EU. It was a UK vote not an electoral college vote. Stop blaming the English for everything fellow Brit.
We're brothers. The UK is a sovereign country. It's OUR country. England is the biggest part and produces the most taxpayers. But England is only part of the country, Scotland is only part of the country. Scotland is subsidised by the rest as the xenophobic racists in Holyrood are incompetent with money and spend more than local taxes provide for.

Oh and English Votes for English Laws was scrapped by Boris Johnson, fellow Brit.
Don't go whingeing about EVEL, Scotland has SVSL. Scrap that too.
Let's strengthen our union. Abolish devolution. Abolish the Barnett formula. Have means tested funding for all regions and make the tax system work for all of us.

Can I ask why you care so much about the Scots wanting self governance? Isn't that why you supported Brexit? Seems completely hypocritical to me.

Scotland keeps voting against separatism.
I am a democrat. The separatists are fascists.
And the separatists don't want self governance, they want to be run by the EU.
It's a xenophobia against the English, not a desire for greater democracy. Theirs is hate politics. I don't hate the people of the EU member states. I just see no way of reforming the EU and turning it into a functional democracy because of the Commission, who are not elected.
If the EU had been more democratic I'd have voted to stay.

Keeps voting? As far as I'm aware they have only had one independence referendum. They have also had two devolution referendums which both had wins for a yes vote.

Election results are predominantly for unionist not separatist parties. The SNP Alba and Greens combined do not get close to the 1.6 million votes that separatism got in 14. Unionism got more than 2 million votes and unionism continues to get more votes than separatism in our elections.
If there has been a vote to break up the UK and impose a hard border between Scotland and England, I would have respected that. But quite the opposite keeps happening and the SNP Alba etc are acting against Scottish democratic votes.
That makes them fascist. And why do they keep doing it? They don't want independence either. They want to be in an economic Darwinist EU, governed by Commission, with no currency of their own, no sovereign powers to decide trade, agriculture, fisheries, or other key policies. Very odd to see lefties who want hyper capitalism as well.
Motive for their absurd position? Xenophobia against the English.

Angry? Moi? Cest ne pas angry. Je suis joyeux. Democracy has been served and actual racists keep losing.
And, if the SNATs are as big on democracy as they claim? How about another vote on whether there should be a devolved Parliament?
If I lose, I lose. But how about a vote? It's been more than 20 years. There's voters now who weren't even born when the mistake of devolution began.
Let's have PR instead and abolish the Lords. Let's have the whole country given democratic reform.

My only view on Scottish independence is that it should really be up to the Scots. Unfortunately, the Scots were misled (lied to) when some queried the continued association with the EU and we’re told the only way to guarantee continued membership was to remain in the UK.
I don’t see too many benefits to England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales coming from insisting any of them should remain in the UK against the will of their populations. Fine if they want to remain, but such a waste of time and effort imposing an unwanted membership on them.
I admit, I’m in favour of local control — I can see benefits to London & Southeast from being an independent but associated part of the UK that would be free to persuade the EU it would be a useful associate or member.
The UK is diminished since it relinquished its EU membership. Perhaps now is the time for UK nations and regions to find their own ways in the current world…

They were told there would be a UK referendum on membership.
It was obvious that the keys to Downing Street were conditional on the referendum on UK membership of the EU.
It was also pointed out that if Scotland left the UK it would also have left the EU, so, either way Scotland would have left the EU. Time to stop moaning and move forward rather than living in the past.

Half the Scots haven't got a clue what the EU is, certainly never been there, they have just latched on to this perceived injustice as another grievance to justify hating the English. They would prefer to be governed by pikeys and horse thieves than take a responsible role in Westminster. The main whinge about independence completely ignores the pertinent fact that it was the majority of Scots, (nothing to do with the English) that voted to remain in the UK, a fact which distressed many of us in England it must be said.

I, personally, couldn't give a toss about the English other than their votes dragged us out of the EU. The only hatred I see on here is from you and your like. Your comments on the Scottish people are racist and if directed at other nationalities or faiths would be actionable. As for the referendum, c500,000 English people voted and they voted to stay by, a study suggested, 72% to 28%. Enough to sway the vote. Indigenous Scots voted, albeit narrowly, for Independence by a margin similar to the UK vote in that other referendum. blogs.sps.ed.ac.uk/scottishreferendumstudy/files/2015/03/Scottish-Referendum-Study-27-March-2015.pdfMakes a mockery of your last few words doesn't it.

Time to stop moaning and move forward rather than living in the past. It was said that it would happen, and Alex Salmond warned of that outcome if the Tories won. Prior to the election, a Tory victory was not a forgone conclusion. A hung Parliament was the suggested outcome en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_for_the_2015_United_Kingdom_general_election#2015Scotland leaving the UK would not have meant the outcome you say. There never were any official documents stating that no entry would necessarily be the case. The fact is that many Scots were swayed by the BT statements that the only way Scotland could remain was to Vote NO. Just one of the many lies propagated by the propagandist in the NO camp.
