Im 66 and in that time the normal travel of politics is that the Tories get in, build the economy and leave a pile of cash, a big pile, Labour then get in, and spend it on nonsense, leaving the country destitute.
The Tories get back in, and the cycle repeats. The upshot is that the electorate never learn. This time when Labour win, the country is on the brink of destitution, when it crashes, the NHS will go, pensions, social care, benefits etc, there will be no money left. It will be like ptting a six year old child in charge of a bank. Our borrowing is maxed out.
Labour have always spent more money than the country has ever had, pre elections and after. Its going to be entertaining, if it wast so serious.

A private Treasury attack dossier circulated to critique Labour’s economic policy includes detailed figures in the small print that highlight difficult statistics on the public finances under Conservative governments.
Labour said the figures in the dossier, seen by the Guardian, were “embarrassing” because they showed Labour’s favourable record on budget surplus compared with the Conservatives’.
The detailed rejection of Labour’s spending plans has been sent to Tory MPs , as well as to broadcast journalists. Labour has circulated its own document to counter the claims.
In the appendix of the document, the figures reveal several difficult statistics for the Tories, including that a Labour government presided over the last budget surplus, that Labour governments presided over nine budget surpluses compared with five under Conservatives, and that the highest peacetime deficit came under the Tories – though that was during the Covid pandemic. The Telegraph.
The facts don't match your account.

Dont believe that for a fraction of a nano second, the treasury, civil servants, whatever are lefty a££ holes.
There was the Gordon Brown disaster, before the global crash, mid 2000s i think, he knew it was coming EIGHTEEN months before it happened. Did he prepare the coutry for hard times?,, no .
He went round the world giving money away to third world countries, well documented on tv, and purposely bankrupted the country. Now why would he do that?, because hes a count, first and foremost, a racist, against the english, and all predictions showed Labour were on the way out.
His chancellor wrote that famous note.
This is the depth of the disturbance that Labour has, that Englishmem, Labour men will harm England to harm the tories. And when Labour has money it will employ countless czars in equality, race, transgender gay, counsellors and political yobs to control everything, thinking and action.
The enemy within, the marxists hell bent on destroying democracy to replace it with complete control like venezuala, that when everything goes tits up, say everything is fine, and progress is being made. This you you Red, but you dont get it and never will.

Its going to be entertaining, if it wast so serious. The thing is piglet, we don't have a Tory government, not a real Tory government. Sunak is a socially liberal globalist. He has more in common with Blair than any previous Conservative prime minister. We are currently in more debt than at any time since 1961, immigration is out of control, our armed forces are smaller than at any time since before the first world war, more than 5 million people live on benefits, the government cant protect our borders, everyone seems to be on strike, illegals are costing us £7 million a day, etc etc. That doesn't sound very Conservative to me. I agree we need a proper centre right Conservative government but that's not going to happen before the next election.

The current Government masquerading as Conservative have supervised and encouraged the profligacy and waste of OUR money by design and ineptitude, and have destroyed the Police, made good inroads into the military, education, roads and the Banking system. They champion our dear NHS and BBC, oblivious to the fact that both organisations are held in contempt and derision by the electorate, and they can't even be bothered to lie convincingly. They are only beaten by a hairsbreadth in uselessness and destructiveness by the SNP with their "progressive left" agenda.
All this has happened and in general the public don't care, as long as they are fed soporific politically correct television, can eat disgusting food, borrow loads of money and go on Jet2 holidays they are quite happy to not get involved. The mess this country is in is down to the indifferent and careless electorate, it doesn't matter who we elect they will just carry on in the same way.
Brexit could be a great event, but remainers have done as much as possible to cut noses off to spite faces, Starmer and Lammy will have us back in the EU in a blink and then borrow trillions more to fund their terrible leftie policies, our savings will disappear and we will be like Venezuela with the added joys of political correctness to add to our poverty.
Or, we could all vote for Reform UK and watch it all go away, it is our decision.
