Ok so here’s the thing. Like many other religions Islam has a number of sub-divisions whose beliefs are not all the same. And like others these factions sometimes don’t get on well.
One such are a particular group called the Ahmadis or as they say Ahmadiyya .
The Sunni and Shia sects have been at each ithers throats for millennia over the succession i.e. who took over from mohammed. Plus other things.
But these guys enrage both sides because they are open to the virw that someone NEW worthy to take over may yet arise.
Which, given the fact islam holds that their prophet was very much a man inspired by what he says he saw and heard, but fully and entirely a man and nothing more, seems to me to be a fair thing to presume
But the other sects murder them for saying it.
A glaswegian ? shopkeeper was slaughtered by one of the other cult for being one of this minority sect.
Nice people.
