My thanks to @bbcsimonjack for his apology.
I have also received a letter of apology from the BBC News CEO, Deborah Turness.
I am very grateful to both.

the martyrdom of Farage by the anglo remainers takes to new heights this monday afternoon. Dear christ above. The stupidity of these people knows no bounds.........
So a trusted senior person at NatWest/Coutts fed a BBC journalist inaccurate information to make it appear they’d binned Farage because he had insufficient funds. In fact, they illegally discriminated against Farage on political grounds. Sackings needed.
Simon Jack @bbcsimonjack The information on which we based our reporting on Nigel Farage and his bank accounts came from a trusted and senior source. However the information turned out to be incomplete and inaccurate. Therefore I would like to apologise to Mr Farage.

What an episode. It's hard to believe the staff of a revered institution like the BBC would allow simple personal political animosity to so severely cloud and distort their reporting - but there it is. let's hope this is an isolated incident. - a one off.

Opinion without indisputable evidence carries no weight. The evidence is there for all to see In your less than trusted opinion.

If it can happen to Nigel Farage, it can happen to Nicola Sturgeonfuher, it can happen to Alex Salmond, it can happen to anyone. It should not be allowed. When it does happen to the devious, then it's time to celebrate.

Well at the very beginning of this thread I laid my morals out. a moral principled person would acknowledge with good grace what has happened to farage being "cancelled" is wrong. The thread shows not only do you not have any moral principles , but that you are happy to throw anyone under a bus , rightly or wrongly , if they dont align with your personal political views.
People with moral princples can rise above that. you obviously cant.
pathetic argument. Addressed time and again by many through this thread. Wether its farage , or ten thousand others , cancelled , is wrong. I made the point earlier numerous times the scot indy blogger and former liberal democrat , and pro european , stuart campbell , had his account cancelled for his anti trans political views.
Whatever your political views or none , what part of banks being your judge and jury over non banking matters , and subsequently cancelling you , dont you understand as being wrong?
...and yet , you have spent an inordinate amount of time in this very thread trying miserably and failing to justify his account being cancelled , while laughing at his misfortune. So quite obviously zanys actions speak louder than his weasel words.
Wether his day is gone or not , doesnt mean we cant call out injustice when we see it. In your simplistic world , if someone like me defends farage from injustice , in your mind it automaticall means i support him politically.
What part of im not a farage supporter , kipper or brexit do you not understand?
51 % would like to reverse brexit and rejoin in the last you guv poll. Hardly a large majority , and within margin of error , could easily lead to a reaffirmation of brexit if the limp wristed starmer got elected and had the balls to hold another referendum
He seems to have mass public , and political sympathy. you never learn do you?
Well said.

We'll see who's right come election time. So you are reduced to cryptic one liners in this thread after the arse you have made of yourself supporting injustice against a man who didnt deserve cancellation?
LMFAO.
I see after the bbc weasel worded apology to farage yesterday , Andrew neil reporting that couts/nat west and its CEO alison rose in particular in the frame now big time...
The BBC has apologised to Nigel Farage for publishing inaccurate information about his bank account which it says it got from a “trusted and senior source” @natwestgroup . This puts Coutts/Nat West even more in the frame: Has NatWest CEO Alison Rose mounted an internal investigation into who’s behind this unprofessional leak of false information to the BBC? Given suspicions she’s the leaker can Rose ever appear in public again til she’s answered this question? Will she have to remain behind closed doors, shielded by her enormous team of internal and external PR flaks (which taxpayers are paying for)? Again, given Rose is the main suspect, what is Nat West Chairman Howard Davies, never usually backward in coming forward, doing about it? Why only silence from him and the Board? And from @couttsandco CEO Peter Flavel? Did he play no role in the plan to ditch Farage? Was he just Rose’s willing puppet? The Bank dossier on Farage says the decision to close his account had to be referred up to [name deleted]. Was that Flavel? Or Rose? And what role did Coutts chairman Lord (naturally, it’s an inclusive bank, remember) Remnant play? What did he know when he became chair in January?
