only after he went public and the bank went into damage limitation mode.. No, he was offered a normal NatWest account at the start. Incorrect.

No he wasn't, again you are peddling false information, it makes you look as though you can't understand simple facts as they emerge.

I'm closing my Natwest account if they let Hobo Farage have one. I don't want to be stuck in the queue behind him waiting to cash his giro. I couldn't stand all the begging.

As previously stated, the bank will undoubtedly argue that there was a public interest in revealing that a public figure was telling half truths about its decision to downgrade him to a mere commoner's account. Are there any previous instances where a bank has been successful at claiming that its in the public interest to share private financial records with reporters? Who decides what this public interest is? Not that I'm aware. The judiciary.

I know this thread is getting long, but here's something to consider. The BBC lied, the state broadcaster published lies about Farage and as yet, have remained silent. They are probably going to get Huw Edwards to read out an apology.

Ironically Farage is going to be helped by EU Law should he decide to take NatWest to court.. Regulation 18 of the Payment Accounts Regulations 2019 – one of the EU retained laws from 2015 – which states: “A credit institution must not discriminate against consumers legally resident in the United Kingdom by reason of their nationality or place of residence or by reason of sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation when those consumers apply for or access a payment account.”

Pressure is also mounting on NatWest chief exec Dame Alison Rose who allegedly discussed Farages personal financial information with the BBC the day before the BBC broke the story.

I should think so too , according to the media Coutts are quite happy to give accounts to the Mafia and other undesirables why they have an issue with Farage, a Vicar and many others allegedly 10,000 people who have their accounts closed over the years I just do not know.

Perhaps Nigel is worse than the Mafia. He's certainly done more harm. 😅 😂 🤣

People who write such nonsense don't deserve to be taken seriously.
