Well as I have said several times, I have never heard of Stuart Campbell so cannot comment on that case.
Like yourself, I know no details of what has or has not happened with Farage. All we have is his word and he is lets face it not the most reliable individual. If his accounts have been closed for no reason that would be outrageous. As I say I doubt, if we had all the facts, this would turn out to be the case.
Unless Farage supplies some evidence or evidence emerges from another reliable source, not sure there is much more to add.

Seems the the Remain establishment learned their lesson over Aaron Banks - never make a false allegation in public. This time they made the false claim about accepting Russian money in Parliament using Parliamentary privilege - hence Farage is unable to sue.
If I was Andy Wigmore I would be looking over my shoulder.

That's really sinister - and worrying. Chris Bryant is a despicable toad and if he's been lying - even if under privilege in the House - he should be called to account.
My long term bank has just told me they're closing my bank account on Aug 1 - no explanation. I do move large amounts of money around and I know they don't like that but it's all legal. I'd better start looking for a new account - maybe I've been blacklisted.

Why am i not surprised you liberal lefties are the first to laugh .?
If there are a more disgusting political party than new labour and its dim witted supporters , then ive yet to see them.
"The actions appear to be a coordinated attempt by financial institutions to target parties and politicians on the right of politics. Express.co.uk understands that all the British-based banks have denied the Reclaim Party a bank account and one of the accounts for Reform UK was also closed with minimum notice". Express. When you lay down with dogs...…🤣 and all that. I wouldn't be so quick to think it is advantageous, it doesn't mean you are not next.

The bank in question seems to be Coutts & Co - which is a subsidiary of Natwest who are 40% owned by the taxpayer.
Be good to see ex Tory Minister Lord Waldegrave who is Chairman of Coutts to explain himself before the Parliamentary Finance committee.

This is quite sinister, banks refusing banking facilities to people who's political views they disagree with! Christ almighty this is dystopian, it's the sort of thing we expect in China not Britain. And the establishment want a cashless society? I fear for the future.

A story for you, many years ago when the Left were shouting Nazi at everyone, I said you have never met a Nazi and when you do, they will have you for breakfast, oh the irony.

Sid, can you put forward a theory that isn't a conspiracy, I can't, if this is because the banks believe Farage has recieved Russian money then they will have to provide evidence in a law court if challenged, Nigel has a platoon of lawyers on the case, so it will be very interesting.

I'm not sure Farage can do anything legally. He cannot take legal action against the Labour MP who lied about him in the Commons and the Bank can refuse to deal with anyone they choose. As the State is a major shareholder in the Bank I'd like to see an explanation from them as to why they have chosen to take this action. Perhaps this is also an issue for the banking regulator - if banks can collude to prevent individual businesses from accessing banking is that against the rules under competition Law? If not then perhaps it should be.

Dappy with respect , wether or not you have heard of stuart campbell , a blogger who runs a scottish indy website is irrelevant.
I brought campbell into this thread as an example of another political individual , however less known than farage that he is , that this has happend to in recent days as well.
I point out again , you admit you know nothing of why this has happened to farage , so your doubts and thoughts are meaningless. Like i said , in a civilised society , the bank in question would forewarn the individual concerned beforehand , then close the account.
This hasnt happened in either of the cases i have mentioned. That on its own is strange , before we delve into the area of speculation further.
So all good.
