I'm pretty sure that we're having an effect on climate change but there is no proof that its main driver is CO2. There's no proof of this and it's highly unlikely - especially as water vapour is a far more powerful driver of warming and it's present in the atmosphere in vastly greater concentrations.
However, I think Sunak was politically naive in not attending. He should attend all the pointless meetings and spout platitudes but do nothing.

When these vocano's erupt they will put more crap in the atmosphere in seconds than mankind could in a lifetime, this has been going on for millions of years and our little old planet is still here.
