Personally I agree with the Labour Party - they desperately need a diversity tsar.
Here we are in 2023 and (unlike most other parties) they still have never had a woman as leader or a member of an ethnic minority - they even struggle to get women and ethnics minorities into shadow minister positions. Anything that improves diversity in the Labour Party is to be welcomed.

Well, they could just elect a female leader or an ethnic minority leader / both.
They don't have to go in for compulsory figure fiddling.

Indeed . You were hiding behind an insult, being obtuse and insulting at the same time . YOU “ You seem to have become incoherent and resorted to just throwing insults.“ Rayner has her position from union connections . It’s not that Labour wants to ‘ address ‘ connections . Labour wants to invent victims and construct their own connections .

The ones the article outlines and others Half of MPs and two thirds of the cabinet went to private schools for example. Maybe private schools tend to produce better educated pupils. Exactly, apparently seven British prime ministers attended Harrow and no fewar than 20 attended Eaton. Sadly Labours politics of envy means such places are sneered at.

That’s why they wheeled out Raynor . She worked her way up via the union ( and monkey climbed over her ex husband iirc)

Labour are hung up on identity politics . Not as much as the right/far right. From the Mail to GB News, not a day goes by without elderly white men getting purple in the face about something they see as an "attack" on their lifestyle.

You seem to struggle to find the difference between an initiative by a possibly future government and some comments on the media ,Walter.

Red
Are you trying to present it as a good thing that the best route to being Prime Minister of our country is to have rich parents who can afford to send you to Eton
Meanwhile children whose parents think Eton is spelt Eaton are expected to know their place and aim lower.
Each to their own but I prefer a country where each child gets , to the best of our ability, equal opportunities in life.

If anyone thinks Etonian is spelt Eaton then it’s is because 1) they didn’t listen at school 2) they overlooked the spell checker . 3) they have a disability. If they didn’t listen at school then they should know their place and aim lower .

Try looking in a mirror. The dictionary definition fits you (and many here) pretty well.
"the more extreme supporters or advocates of social, political, or economic conservatism or reaction, based generally on a belief that things are better left unchanged."

"the more extreme supporters or advocates of social, political, or economic conservatism or reaction, based generally on a belief that things are better left unchanged." A bit harsh I feel, the things they want to change are automatically then deemed as far right and not politically correct. Which then creates a backlash and they never get to change a thing.
