At least 29 people were injured - including four critically - with two others missing following a massive gas explosion in a building housing an American fashion academy in Paris today.
It happened in the 5th arrondissement of the French capital at around 5pm on Wednesday, resulting in numerous buildings catching fire.
‘It’s an absolute disaster – we smelt gas, and then there was a huge explosion,’ said an eye witness.
‘Window caved in, and then there was dust and rubble everywhere. It is extremely frightening.’
Laure Beccuau, the Paris prosecutor said at the scene: ‘Camera footage suggests the main blast was in a building which hosts the Paris American Academy.

Anyway, if you are thinking it was a bomb, it's possible. A gas explosion is unconfirmed and I believe "gas explosion" is the go to for the authorities to divert attention for a few days.
