Labour MP Nick Brown temporarily suspended from party pending investigation
The Guardian reports that a complaint had been made against Nick Brown, the member for Newcastle-upon-Tyne East, who has previously served as Labour chief whip.
On 7 Sept Labour announced
“Senior Labour MP/ex Chief Whip Nick Brown *temporarily* suspended pending investigation”
It’s now 6 wks later!
Why was Nick Brown suspended?
Why the secrecy?

Interesting. Is he still suspended, and more to the point what was he suspended for? Doesn't seem to be much info out there.

He is still suspended , has been for 6 weeks or so , but no one appears to know why . This of course is driving the interest , and im sure someone will keep diggin until starmers hush up is found out. |

It shows Labour has a problem with the concept of innocent until proven guilty. Suspending someone is potentially rather damaging for the individual involved. |

Having looked on the news sites, all they report is the fact that he has been suspended, none of them has stated why other than the fact he is cooperating with the investigation, nor does it mention who is carrying out the investigation
