OMG, apparently because members of the privileges committee are offended dare I say outraged at the way some people, Lord Pannick and Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg to name but two, are criticising them, I just heard there is going to be an inquiry into the inquiry! Now that could be quite interesting if it happens

No more inquiries and investigations into who ate cake during covid. A line should be drawn under it. The end.

I agree I am fed up with this vindictive childish nonsense, time to get the country back on track more real pressing problems to deal with

Boris was proven guilty several times, firstly by The Metropolitan Police who fined him, and secondly the cabinet office report concluded that he was guilty. Several photographs also prove he was guilty, at least one video proves he was guilty, numerous eye witness accounts describe in detail the partys, Christmas quiz and booze-ups, a Panorama investigation interviewed witnesses. Security staff complained at the lack of respect after they had suggested / advised that one party was breaking the rules, and that they should take the party outside. But finaly, it was not the job, or within the remit of The Priviliges Committee to prove, or not prove Johnsons guilt, that has already been done. After the Metropolitan Police interviewed dozens of witnesses, took statements, and then found Johnson guilty and issued him with a fine. Are you pushing back on the videos, photographs, witness accounts, the security staff who complained, and the cleaners who complained at the lack of respect. ? I mean, just what would it take for some people to accept that Johnson broke the law, lied about it and then missled Parliament. ? The police don't find anyone guilty, you imbecile.

Boris never was a team player but he has an astute and clever mind which Parliament in their jealous short sightedness fail to see a use for. It will be the Nation's loss to see this man's chutzpah and ability to see beyond the here and now banned from their midst. See his efforts in raising awareness and support for Ukraine. He apparently had little real wish to shut the country down during Covid but 'the Scientists' had everyone by the collar, and if I remember right Starmer wanted more strict shut down for even longer with far more money printed to cover it. Where might we be now if he led the way? It was difficult to find a right way - either way many were expected to suffer or die. The NHS front line were brave indeed but their leaders were more inefficient than can be imagined and still haven't been called to account. Let's hope that will soon be rectified. I feel sorry for Teresa May if only that she wanted the role of PM for a long time to only arrive there and find she is no leader, but then again she had the hardest job of all with a parliament that couldn't find a democratic bone in it's body and a Speaker who compounded that failing. It's unfortunate that she too lowered herself to rail against him thus joining the rabble on the opposition benches who really just want a clear run at the next General Election and see Boris as too much of a vote winner. Boris can lead with vision and foresight but is really only good in a crisis. The mediocrity of the current Parliament let's us all down. Rishi has returned us to mediocrity with a remain Chancellor hell bent on proving the reason for re-entry into the EU. Frankly I despair of them all, they have done themselves no favours but it will be interesting to see just what the turn out will be at the by-elections created by this fiasco. How many have been turned off politics altogether? Parliament has only itself to blame, but then perhaps they see redemption in very few voters. It raises their odds perhaps of holding on to their jobs. Boris was never really a Brexiteer yet an opportunist yet he stuck to his guns to get us a semblance of Brexit and deserves credit for that. However that apart he was pretty lazy resulting in that fiasco with 4,000 EU laws still awaiting a decision now yet again kicked into touch. Think the US factor forced him into the vaccines and then he moved quickly. His wife seemed to have an unusual influence on both green issues and Cummings making some think he was making it up as it went to please her. Truss in her eagerness to get back to Tory principles damaged the brand if not the economy through incompetence by not using the OBR. Sunak so far has been a safe pair of hands keeping in mind the global situation yet if Braverman should go, then a Brexit revolt will be on the cards at some point.

That's a reasonably fair assessment at face value but it's far too lenient on Boris. Brexit was indeed a semblance of what he promised and what we expected. His abilities are an absolute shambles that he's thusfar got away with fairly lightly. He has no worthwhile abilities, no honesty and not a clue about the people. I hope he is pursued for what he has done as an example to others who might have similar ideas.

He certainly has a turn of phrase that can paint a vision, he can make some laugh and he does have chutzpah.
I don't see him back for a while yet think he could make a comeback say after 7 years if he still has the appetite.

Thank you for calling me inapropriate names ( again ) The police took lots of witness statements, they interviewed people and at the end of their investigation they decided that Boris Johnson and another 82 indivudals HAD BROKEN THE RULES and were issued with fines. Not one of those people challenged the fines, if they had done, the matter would have gone to a Magistrates Court, something that none of these people clearly wanted. Those people could have insisted that the matter went before a court of law, but none of them did .... their reasoning for not wanting the matter to go to court is blatantly obvious. I am still suprised that some people still continue to defend Boris Johnson

Lets not forget the police decided that 30 people on a curry and beer night was within the rules.

But the problem was always that most of the Tory is solidly remainer and prevented him from doing anything to take advantage of the opportunities that Brexit gave us. He was keen to do this but he was fighting all the opposition, most of his own party and all of the civil service. I don't think he was lazy. He was a good PM who was stymied at every turn.

The Labour arseholes wasted days months and years on their petty vendetta of Boris. It all we ever heard on our excuse for a media. But as soon as smarmers organised pissup came to light suddenly the labour scum wanted to get back to what was important to our country and the state it was in after chinky monky pox and our rising cost of energy. We'll that never lasted long did it? The lefty scum ringpeices still want to perpetuate this lynching. But I guess it hides the fact that the labour party have no clue on how to run the UK and no policies either just their own madcap agenda supported by bloody criminals.

They did just as they always do, we have the votes now we can do as we please, which is laughable, because the so called opposition voted for all of it as well.

My take on FPNs is that you have a right to appeal, if you pay up you are accepting the accusation as being correct.

My take on FPNs is that you have a right to appeal, if you pay up you are accepting the accusation as being correct. But it doesn't make you guilty in a court of law. Paying a poxy ton saves a lot of bother. I think the only one who went to court over a FPN was mordaunt who forgot about either a speeding or parking fine. Boris was a fool for paying his and that gave labour a bandwagon.
