In November 2020 I had to cancel a birthday celebration at a local social club
Also, in 2020 I could not attend a family members funeral due to the rules
Meanwhile, Tory Party officials were partying and breaking every rule in the book
Despite everything that dodgydave states, our Prime Minister, government officials and Conservative Party workers were the people who made the rules on scientific advice - THEY were the people telling us to follow the rules, and THEY were the people who we expected to set an example, and to show leadership.
Saying that lots of people broke the rules IS NOT AN EXCUSE
The standard of leadership under Boris Johnson was attrocious and appaling, a disgcrace, and he has mede this country a laughing stock.
I could almost feel sorry for Sunak, having to follow on from not one, but two incompetent idiots ... but I dont, he's guilty by association.

Yes, Tories were caught on video partying during lockdown. Worse than that they were mocking the rules implemented by the government they work for. All this was happening while lots of people couldn't see their dying relatives because of these rules. One of the party goers was given an OBE by the Tory's great leader, Bozo. Pitty they weren't attending a beer & curry bash, apparently that's OK.

I could almost feel sorry for Sunak, having to follow on from not one, but two incompetent idiots ... but I dont, he's guilty by association. There was a lady on GB news who hit the nail on the head. The partygoers in the main were associated closely with those advising on law including Niall Ferguson and as such were managing their own risk, (Ferguson travelled to see his lover against the rules he was party in making). The government were trying to scare the pants off the rest of us to adhere to the lockdown requirements and as such were not allowing us to manage our own risk through fear and through sanction. The guilty are not those attending parties they are the government and all those who supported the government line. Not only did it damage society and the economy extensively but the policy also queered the pitch should we have a truly dangerous disease to cope with as the electorate will have grave doubts as regards what is true.

Who exactly was obeying the rules? I worked through the entire thing (as a truck driver for a supermarket). As soon as you were all locked down the contents of my trailer became noticeable geared towards alcohol, party food and BBQ meats! When I got up for work at 2am you were all in each other gardens still drinking! Your kids were playing together, and everybody got a dog so they could have a family outing twice a day lol. I also saw you all engaged in "necessary travel" with the wife, two kids and bikes strapped to the back of the car! At work nobody gave a fuck either, masks / gloves were only worn when the big management were around. Are you seriously suggesting that if Labour had been in power, their young staff would have been following the rules 100%? Starmer and Raynor were drinking beer and enjoying a curry hundreds of miles from home, when the guidelines was to have meetings via Zoom ffs. Corbyn held a dinner party lol. Who exactly was obeying the rules? Those that could not be at their loved ones beds when they died, those that could not go to the funerals of loved ones when they were buried, nurses that did not party every Friday night, the elderly and frail that could not be comforted by relatives and friends, basically everyone except for a few inconsiderate tw*ts that did not realise the harm they were causing to others. People are still dying of Covid and precautions still need to be taken. Good display of virtue signaling, but you are talking rubbish. I clearly gave you examples of when I PERSONALLY WITNESSED loads of you breaking the rules on a daily basis. I also clearly told you how my trailer went from daily groceries to party food and booze as you partied in each others gardens and houses. "a few inconsiderate tw*ts" lol don't make me laugh. I wasn't locked down, I saw EXACTLY what you were all up to... WIDESPREAD rule breaking. 120,000 of you got fined, which is pretty spectacularly considering how few coppers actually patrol the street lol.

So, Parliament made a load of rules they never actually believed in themselves just about unanimously, so what's new? Labour is now crying because the Tories made a better job of partying than they did. Oh, the frigging irony of virtue signalling. While Labour was just as responsible for the damage to the economy as the frigging Tories. Vote for more of this madness at your own peril.
