Radio 4 has lost half a million listeners in the past year. I used to listen to radio 4 daily, now i dont bother. Recently, in the car searching for something, i came across radio 4 mid morning, with a Harvard Professor giving a lecture on how racist and corrupt western society is. With her main target being that Tesla bloke, demonising him in every way.
And hes not a plitician. The main problem was he was rich and successful. You cant have that in a red bongo land.
The point im trying to make is that you know what your going to get from those people, and you get it in spades. In every programme. I know this has been said a thousand times, but, the BBC is run by left wing fanatics, thankfully, having a paradoxical effect of demolishing themselves.
The british public arnt stupid. When Radio 4 was good, in the 1980s, it was brilliant, i learnt a lot from it, its a sad loss. Now its wokery straight from Barack Obama and the loony american universities. What to do with it? The cheap nasty early evening programmes on bbc 1 are dreadful. Saturday nights are straight from Italian tv from 1987.
If it was me id appoint someone to bring it back to news and entertainment, there is no entertainment on the BBC anymore. If that cant be done, then id close it, and start again. But make that clear from the start, respond to changes or close down. Now. We need masculinity in politics now, not lefty empathic, weary nonsense.
Things need to get done. Not tomorrow.
