The people* who brought us six-mile-long traffic queues at Dover, turning Kent into a public toilet, and caused endless queues at airports (with a promise of more to come this Summer) are now whinging about traffic chaos created by Eco Warriors. Have we finally reached peak gammon?
*Yes, they’re the same people who claim that Labour is rife with paedophiles despite sharing common political cause with kiddy fiddler luminaries like Jimmy Savile (Savile was a well known Conservative supporter).

There appears to be a consensus by a lot of the posters on here that the disruption caused by the protestors is nationwide and involves thousands of roads being blocked. In reality it is a very small number of protestors blocking very few roads.
Your point point is well made but I doubt if the posters on here will appreciate it.

I somehow doubt Brexit has much to do with how the Ferries are run or computer glitches, or various striking French factions, or blockading ports which has caused exactly the same tailbacks before Brexit, I also doubt they are somehow responsible for the actions of a group calling themselves stop oil or whatever branch they now call themselves; it seems to me somebody has made up something in their head and made 2+2 make 5. Which are totally unrelated a common theme amongst these threads.

If we were still in the EU computer glitches would not hinder passing through borders anywhere near as much, that is what the EU passport was all about. We are not checking goods into this country, a smugglers paradise but when we do we will see holdups of goods coming in. What has JSO got to do with it?

Be gracious in victory.

The fact that having an EU passport meant a light touch if electronic systems went down or more checks now that we don't? The facts that we have open borders on goods because the checks required will take up too much time and we don't have the staff? Do you mean those facts?

There are at most half a dozen protesters at any one time. Let me tell you what half a dozen protesters can do. They can cause a serious backlog of traffic the same as traffic lights or roundabouts, the only difference is that the latter two situations do allow traffic to progress rather than come to a halt. I know all the shortcuts in my neck of the woods, frequently finding that the increase volume of traffic down those routes is causing delays. Now ffs stop finding an objection to just about everything, the people you are defending are, like yourself, just rabble who want to fuck up peoples' lives in their own selfish interests.

The eco warriors are amateurs compared to the gammons. Get back to us when the eco warriors start 6-mile-long traffic queues. Can't wait for July and August, when the whinging starts about airport queues! You're just better at it, Sal. Learn to take a compliment.

There are at most half a dozen protesters at any one time. Probably because the Zealots in charge think they are on the right course, which the public don't. So like in the miners strike you will have to back the zealots coming to your aid until they get their own way, it never stopped the miners losing but changed society eventually and has even entered the education system. I would say the LGBT were the eventual winners not the public.
