The problem is some sodding jumped up magistrate stated she was not going to sentence one of these convicted eco freaks as they believed their cause warranted their action. Nutters like them create precedent. They should be sacked. |

The woman who said this had a posh title even though she was hearing a magistrates court procedure. But this is how case law is formed. |

If anyone needing to get to hospital for life saving treatment can't as a result of a "protest" road blockage and dies: Charge the eco protesters with murder by terrorism and give them whole life sentences in orange cells. Jury service, interesting thought. Never done it myself although I wouldn't mind, as long as it was an interesting case. I suppose you don't get to pick, hey ho. At a glance, there seems to be very few barriers to jury service, I suppose a criminal record would preclude someone from being asked, other than that age seems to be the only barrier. So the fact that I'm a centre right disciplinarian who is very pro capital punishment would be OK. Where do I sign up... |
