the inter sect warfare is fown to the fact they have a schism almost identical to the one that rent the christian church asunder and each side physically celebrates murdering those in the other sect annually. Admittedly not so much in Newport these days thanks to people like me making these facts public.

The two main moslem factions the Shia and Sunni have been at each others throats for millennia over a disagreement regarding the rightful successors to Holy Mo’s ministry. But there is another more theological issue. The Holy Roman Catholic Church has always maintained the stance that the priest is pivotal to the teachings of the church and no lay person can truly understand the gospel save by being directed by the priest. In stark contrast Lutheran Protestantism has at its core the fundamental belief that one’s personal salvation is a matter for you and god and that it is within the means of every literate individual to achieve that state of salvation through jesus christ without tbe need for any irdained priest to intervene or intercede. Within the shia sect the imam has the power and status of the catholic priest. The SUNNI have a totally different view namely that it is within each to understand fully though personal study etc. Now i admit i heard this from members of the Sunni mosque and their imam when i was a lay preacher so i may only have one side of tbe story since no Shia imam ever wanted to put their side to infidels like me.

But here’s the point. Both sects of this cult of mohammedanism have a feast and celebration day, the Shia march through the streets chanting, the Sunni charge down it in mock reenactment of a public riot.

Because one day a long time ago a couple of idiots tried to take the Shia point of view to two Sunni princes who promptly had the messengers beheaded for his cheek. The Sunni parade in celebration of that beheading.

The Shia march in mourning for the prophets slain by the opposing cult, but chant and dance in memory of their bloody revenge.

Back in about 2012 i was shopping in Newport when the Sunni celebration kicked off. About fifty coppers appeared on the street out of nowhere blocking off one of the side roads of the shopping centre and with quite a shout about three hundred bearded islamics came running down the road, across the shopping plaza, across the river footbridge and on to their mosque.

The shout starts outside the opposing sect’s mosque…..

Seeing the look on my face as several hundred wild eyed islamics ran hell for leather down the main street one of the coppers holding up the shoppers for them to run amok said ‘its ok is just one if their religious parades’

I told him no’ it isn’t. It celebrates their grabbing two blokes from the opposite sect to theirs, publicly beheading them and carrying the severed heads back to their mosque where they were burned, and in about a month the other lot will march down this street to celebrate the hundreds they slaughtered in reprisal. They taught me that in my other faith awareness training when i signed up to be a christian lay preacher, didn’t they put this in your diversity training ?

Funnily enough the Shia parade DIDNT happen that year and hasn’t since. I dont know if the leader of it taking a bribe to switch from being a Cottage Burner to a Tory in the Welsh Assembly had anything to do with that …
