I don’t understand this.
Ok so this is the met, not other forces.
But when they say they’re not turning out for these calls
What exactly are they not coming to ?
Two examples of what i mean.
A chap who lived round the corner from our old house was as pleasant a chap as you’d wish to meet, bright, cheerful, but of a gardening nut but hey nobody's perfect. Then one day he volunteered for a Territorial Army Officer Training boot camp.
Disaster struck. Out on the Ten Tors in baking heat his brain fried. By the time the medivac chopper got there it was too late. Now hes ok as ling as he remembers his lithium. If not, well last time i knew of it was a knifepoint hostage situation…. We moved shortly after and nothing to do with that. But ate the Met saying they’ll leave the hostage victim to the vagaries of the fried mind ?
Second case is the regular occurrence down the road of the head case who repeatedly climbs over the rail of the M4 J25 wishing to end it all. Given the fact every time plod turn out snd take them away they get to do it again a couple of months later, wherever they get taken isn’t doing any good but will the Met Plod faced with similar just let them jump ?
If these are not cases they propose to ignore in future, what are ?
