And just to reinforce my last post........I like gammon... I'd also much prefer to be a gammon fighting for democracy than any quivering sheeple allowing their democratic voice to be diluted and docilely ruled by the anointed, bureaucratic elite who view democracy as an inconvenient bollard on route to their know-better governance... As Brexiteers and Right-wing voters are dismissed as 'gammon', BRENDAN O'NEILL reveals why Britain's elites hold ordinary people — and democracy — in such contemptThe swinish multitude is back. Only we call them gammon now, not swine. A couple of centuries ago, at the dawn of the modern democratic era, the rabble that wanted more of a say in public life were looked upon as pigs. Today, they're looked upon as pig meat. I'm fairly sure that's a demotion. At least pigs are alive, and pretty intelligent, too. Gammon, in contrast, is inanimate flesh, unfeeling, unthinking, liable to decay. That's us, apparently. That's the throng now.

refer to a certain kind of voter. Right-wing, pro-Brexit, angry, red about the face — hence 'gammon'

Just to clarify. Throwing endless pointless insults at people isn't pointless bandwidth so long as it goes back and forth. But posting asterisks contributes nothing Q: Does posting asterisks still contribute nothing if it goes back and forth? Or that they revel in it? How about the shite we leavers had to endure after the Brexit vote? Just because the usual numpties didn't get their way? The usual lefty remnants don't mind dolling out the insults and jibes. Now the situation is in reverse they don't like it. Well sod em we have had years of their childish antics. You mean the genuine concerns that people had over the both the way the referendum was run and the dishonesty that won the referendum. The childish denials of reality by Outers like yourself continues to this day.

More than equaled by the faces of Remnants for the past seven years and they're still pulling faces. That's an opinion, lets see the evidence I was attacking the poster that furnished the evidence. Even if true I don't see anyone backing up any big mouthed small brained people who may have voted Remain. Then of course we have a never ending hiding by many Outers who refuse to acknowledge the cock-up of leave as experienced so far, always seeking to put the blame on others.

I suggest dishonest propaganda is what created a win for the Outers. Pluss the easily led like the angry Outer who couldn't think of any reason to vote leave other than some rambling derogative remark about 'bent bananas'.

If you dont like what someone posts about you report it and the Mods will consider your complaint. Asterisks are a violation of rule 5. I've reported 3 posts in the last couple of weeks but have not had a single reply. You've made it very clear what you are happy to accept. You reap what you sow. Well you reported posts because you didn't like being called 'sunshine' so the post was edited to change the word to something else - and then you complained about the new word. I'm not sure - but I'm open to changing my mind if that is what most posters want - that calling people sunshine, sunlight, gammons, remnants etc etc needs moderating and control. I'll start a discussion with the rest of the mods and possibly we will have another poll on it.

Much of the blame falls fairly on the anti-Brexit brigade who ever tried to thwart the result, starting with Gina Miller. Now tell us about how a Bill was rushed through Parliament to extend registration for the yoofs.

Older people were accused of being the mainstay of Leavers, people who had long before made their minds up, nothing to do with last minute decisions, just a vision of the EEC/EU direction of travel; nice to see other members are becoming disaffected.

And for the record I did not report your avatar, I made my feelings on it openly in plain sight along with the threat I felt it made to the forum. You may well dispute current attitudes towards things like this, but I would ask you to consider not me, but your friends on this forum who might lose it if you push too hard in your cause.
