And god knows what else, the fish for a start. We are under a delusion that the people run anything, there is them and us, whether its Labour or the Conservatives. We are being dragged back into the EU by stealth, and we dont know it, Anne Widdicombe revealed the defence thing yesterday.
The biggest lie of all is the pre election promises, all of them are not worth tuppence.
There is talk of insurrection in the USA.

If true ... this is without doubt the most sensible direction for UK defence policy, and its not before time.
BECAUSE
(1) With the possibility of another populist right wing US President, NATO could become irelevant to the United States.
(2) The biggest threats to our security are the same threats which face Europe
If President Trump or President DeSantis places little importance to NATO, abandons Ukraine, then what ?, what happens next. ?
We need Europe to defend Europe, its the sane, logical, sensible and practial thing to do, and with the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain it would be a very formidable military power with two nuclear powers included.
The focus for North America is now Asia and the Pacific rim, our main threats come from our East

Its like unless we take orders from fascists, the EU, the world will fall apart, not the case. Point number two is that we voted to be independent, why dont you get it? Red, your a wind up merchant, you posted something similar before.
Anyway, to speed up the trajectory of the way of the world is, is to assume that the EU will become the new Russia. If we are part of Europe we will automatically be governed by fascists, and will have to resort to terrorism to get freedom of choice back. O yes, it will happen.
If we are independant, we can aim our nukes anywhere.
INCLUDING Brussels. We might be small but we will have teeth, big ones. Do you really trust the EU, are you fking mad?

I confess I feel let down by this government, I didn't expect much of Sunak and on that front I haven't been disappointed. As I've said many times we desperately need a proper centre right Conservative government that puts the interests of the UK before the interests of the EU. Sunak may not be openly pro EU because he knows it's a vote loser, but he is just as sympathetic towards the EU as Starmer is, which is worrying. |
