There was a discussion many years ago about the cost of living and it transpired that Britain was, and im sure still is, regarded as treasure island. Cars were highlighted back then you could buy any make of car on the continent thousands cheaper than here, the problem was they were left handed.
Everything in Britain costs more than everywhere else.......if my memory serves, its because were an island, and were a captured audience so to speak. If you have to buy, from limited supply, the price goes up, or something like that. It is of course seriously annoying, like everything else, that whatever government is in charge no one does anything about it.
Currently petrol and energy costs more than the continent, yet there is no difference.
Surely the British are the most used, abused, lied too, manipulated, taxed, second class in their own country, p issed off people in the whole world. Oh, and depressed by all the monumental bonnallacks going on. Where is our saviour?
Sold down the river by all, except Farage.

You could also order and buy a right hand drive car as well, direct from the factory

I'm not sure that petrol and diesel have ever been cheaper on the continent - I've driven there extensively over the last decade and never found it to be so. I filled up the other day for £1.35 per litre (petrol) which seems almost reasonable these days.

When I moved to France in 2005 fuel was well cheaper there than here, the golden rule was fill up in France.
