www.standard.co.uk/news/londoners-diary/labour-gaffe-as-rachel-reeves-flies-business-class-then-hides-the-evidence-b1082753.htmlShadow chancellor Rachel Reeves was so chuffed with her trip to New York yesterday to meet business leaders that she put a snap of her British Airways ticket on Twitter. What a mistake that was. It showed her seat number, which indicated that she had chosen to sit in the business class section of the plane. Business class tickets from London to New York usually start at around £2,000 and can rise steeply for last minute bookings. Things took a strange twist. The tweet with the photograph showing Reeves’s seat number was hastily deleted and replaced with an almost identical tweet in which the photo had been edited. The seat number was blurred out. Oh dear.

My former MP was Robert Goodwill (Con)
Whilst as an MEP, Robert Goodwill regularly claimed flight expenses traveling from Leeds Bradford Airport to Brussels, the cost of which was £160.00, however Mr Goodwill instead claimed the First Class fare of £500.00 and pocketed the difference.
After been found out, and heavily criticised, Mr Goodwill donated £2000.00 to charity

I actually think that a prominent politician, the opposition Finance Minister of a G7 country would be entitled to travel in comfortable ( business or first class ) seats.
