That is on the assumption that we would have trundled on the same level if we were out of the EU. By way of simple, straight-line method, if you took the reduction in the economy now that we're out of the EU and extrapolated it to the entire period we were in the EU, then logically the UK economy would have been smaller during that period. Therefore, it's safe to say that our £10B a year contribution to the EU budget paid for the much larger economy we achieved. The economy has grown. Our population has grown by 2.6 million, our economy hasn't matched that in any way.

Lol. We did pretty well in the EU gang, better than out here in the cold. Meantime our so called democracy has gone from one cheating scumbag leader to the next while our economy sits flat on its face. I hope that's what you wanted. But we obviously didn't or you wouldn't have ended up in a minority. You personally might have done well by being in the EU I am not saying anything different. Naah. A lot of stupid people were scammed by a guy threatening that the population of Turkey were coming to live here. When obviously you wanted the population of India instead.

I don't think he managed to somehow fool half the voters, they after all had tried decades of it before making a choice, he may well have been the mouthpiece for them, but nothing more than that in my opinion.

He kept trying until eventually his words lined up with a nationalist phase our country went through. Lots of tub thumping and noise, very little thought. Part of me still keeps scanning the sunlight uplands for the promised unicorns

Farage made a huge mistake handing the outcome back to the Westminster party and everything since points it out.
