Here is my list of the worst Tory Prime Ministers of the 21st century:
1) Liz Truss
2) David Cameron
3) Boris Johnson
4) Theresa May
Of course, I had to put Truss in first place, as it only took her a few weeks to crash the UK economy.
I think I may be a bit biassed in putting Cameron in second place. Apart from his failed austerity policy, I thought he was a bit of a snake.
I can hardly believe that such an incompetent buffoon and serial liar, Johnson, is only in third place on my list.
I think a lot of people might agree that May was a poor Prime Minister, but this only highlights how atrociously inept the other three were.
I haven't included Sunak in the list as he is still serving as PM, but things don't look good for him. Sunak's five pledges mean nothing because if you say that you will only try to do something instead of saying you will actually do it, then they are not pledges at all.
I saw on the news the all smiling meeting between Macron and Sunak. Macron's smile was the smile of someone who is about to receive a large amount of money, whereas Sunak's smile was the smile of a gullible fool. It seems obvious to me that Macron and his government are in it together with the smugglers. I suspect most of the money will be used to buy more small boats to send more immigrants to the UK, although some of it might find its way into one of Macron's secret offshore accounts.
But some Tory MPs are already talking about the next possible PM. Apparently they want someone who can walk in a straight line while carrying a sword and wearing a pompous expression. In this regard, Penny Mordaunt would seem to fit the bill, as she has already performed such an extremely difficult task and is probably the only person in the world who could do it. At least according to the Tories.

Seems we can trust Penny Mordaunt to carry a sword, after she's taken her meds, but we can't trust her to know what a woman is, even though she is one.

Its pretty subjective. I'd probably say on balance Theresa May was worse than BJ as she had no vision and achieved absolutely nothing, making him according to your list, the least worst

Theresa May is probably my choice for the worst PM from the list in the OP. Going back slightly further, John Major in my opinion was the worst Tory PM since Alec Douglas-Home 1963/64. In fact, and I'm aware this is something of a digression from the OP however, in my opinion the two worst prime ministers in recent years, and by quite a margin, are John Major and Gordon Brown.

Theresa May Liz Truss John Major David Cameron Tony Blair John Major was a 20th Century Prime minister, not a 21st Century PM.

A bit selective seeing as the very worst Prime Ministers in history were all pro EU. Edward Heath. John Major. Tony Blair. Gordon Brown.

I've not seen a competent PM in my lifetime, in fact I've rarely seen a competent mainstream MP and they're getting worse; Nigel Farage has been an exception and whilst I haven't much admiration for Richard Tice's presentations, they have a decent lot of prospective MPs who have or are working in commerce and industry, many having risen through the ranks in the workplace.

Apart from being PMs, Truss, Cameron, Johnson and May have another thing in common, they were all architects of their own downfall.

May has to be the worst, she stabbed the country in the front, while all of us watched.

I was listening to Ann Widdecombe earlier who summed up Rishi Sunak quite well. She said...
..."he is competent, but has no plan and no charisma".
Which I thought was the perfect description of prime minister Sunak.
