What a crock of shit. Their models relied on mining, crushing and transporting 275 billion tonnes of basalt all over the world to capture 2.5 billion tonnes of Co2 annually. No mention of how much Co2 this mining, crushing and transporting is likely to produce. I wonder why?

No mention of how much Co2 this mining, crushing and transporting is likely to produce. I wonder why? Basalt is found in many places around the world. Its 2.5Bn tons of Co2 EVERY year as it breaks down. And I'm sure it will come as a shock to you, but they thought about the Co2 cost of production and its built into the net figures. Not to mention its also a fertiliser.

Mount Everest is a pimple compared to the size of the Earth ( Factoid, Size for size the earth is smoother than a snooker ball.) Basalt flows cover about 70% of the earths surface. Everest covers 0.000005%
