Wherever they go they leave a brown stain, corrupt, lying, manipulative, hopeless, in all departments.
An ex Tory.

Theres no sign what so ever of the Tories closing the gap or making any headway in the polls, the last three published polls Opinium (15th) 14 point lead Labour, Omnisis (17th) 22 point lead Labour, TechneUK 18th 16 point lead Labour.
When a governing party gets to a certain point, the electorate simply become tired and want a change, and sometimes that point comes quicker than other times.
After years of austerity, cuts here, cuts there, cuts to services everywhere, the deplorable state of the NHS, poor growth, falling living standards, a cost of living crisis, a country torn apart by Brexit - people just want a change, or they feel it cannot be any worse.
People are just tired of the Tories now

But this always happens: The public get bored with the government and then vote in another that proceeds to do the exact same thing.

But this always happens: The public get bored with the government and then vote in another that proceeds to do the exact same thing. It does. So why do so many want to cling to the electoral system that perpetuates it? Despite claims on both sides to speak for the 'silent majority', the reality is that the electorate is made up of a diverse range of opinion. So why shouldn't our governments reflect that? Why do we have to keep flip-flopping between decade+ episodes of being laboratory rats for politically partisan socio-political experiments? Governments should be responsible for running the country, not for advancing the interests of their own core voter base.

I hope it ends well too, but the opinion polls aren’t indicating a decisive win for anyone. The greater possibility is for a hung Parliament, which would give another few years of Westminster trying to sort itself out and get a lacklustre government clinging to power…

We would not get 'bored' with a party that was doing the right thing for the country and the people. How can you think that people are 'bored' with the Tories do you not think it has something to do with the corruption, the lies, the sense of entitlement, the idiots in positions of power, the incompetence, the criminality, Brexit, immigration, the cost of living, the reduction in social services, the culture wars, the strikes, the hypocrisy...............................

We would not get 'bored' with a party that was doing the right thing for the country and the people... An entirely subjective set of parameters: There is no "One size fits all" best thing for everyone. Pretty much all of which have been exhibited by every government during my lifetime. So my point stands: Swapping one set of hypocrites for another is a pointless exercise. They are all functionally the same. Unfortunately, you tribal voters are too dim to see it.

I see, so in your opinion the Tories are to blame for everything from the crucifixion to covid. And you wonder why people call you an outraged lefty?
