Why do you think the care home called the police?

Fair.
The little shits who murdered Jamie Bulger back in the 90s deserved the same treatment.
Might be an idea to retrospectively add monthly getting tasered sessions to their sentences and put em both back inside.

A very old fragile looking 95 year old women with dementia armed with cutlery must have been a serious threat. They could have ended up with a cardiac arrest instead of an arrest. Still, I'm obvioulsy being too wet. These are dangerous criminals.

Still, I'm obvioulsy being too wet. These are dangerous criminals. Why do you think the care home called the police? "She had a walking frame. But she had a knife,". she began approaching police - "it is fair to say at a slow pace" .
Mr Thaler described Ms Nowland as being "a great service to the community and her church, very fondly regarded by a lot of people". "She needed somebody to... handle her with compassion and time, not Tasers.".
The officer involved, who is reported to have 12 years' experience, has not been suspended but has been taken off active duty. He will be interviewed as part of the investigation, which will include the homicide squad.
The early morning incident has sparked outcry, over what advocates say was a disproportionate response. The New South Wales police chief has said an investigation is under way.
All they had to do was grab her wrist.

Well, you reckon you could have dealt with the 11 year old boy better than the Scots Police. Why do you think the care home staff did not "grab her wrist" rather than call the police?

I don't need to ask that question. We know what happened.
The staff followed procedures and did what was needed in the circumstances, the council's chief operating officer Jeff Morgan told local media.

Why do you think the care home called the police? Did they call them ? Or was it like the Met shooting the dogs on leads in London when a third party called them when there was no dog ''attack'' , mauling or danger (the second dog was trying to get back to the owner and was being held on a noose by a policeman who let go) Police made no attempt to calm the situation they created - simply trigger happy They even failed to kill them humanely- the first dog at least was clearly still alive in the video Horrendous viewing Seems that the word ''dog'' in a call now triggers 7/8 armed cops in response - get burgled or robbed in the street and you are ignored

And just in the last few weeks we’ve had a woman killed in London by dogs, numerous dog attacks and in the last 48 hours a man killed,a young boy scalped and a baby attacked and seriously injured by dogs. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12104679/Nine-month-old-baby-hospitalised-attacked-dog-West-Sussex.htmlAnd the cops are overreacting and trigger happy? Yeah right I see what are called professional? dog walkers with too many to handle and little control. I am a dog lover but human safety has to come first including cops.

It is difficult to see how a 95 year old walking with a zimmer frame could seriously be a threat, seems like jobsworths following procedures instead of thinking on their feet.

A dangerous situation.

I thought it was interesting that even this is considered good policing by some people.
