Immigrant mothers account for 43% of births in Birmingham which is one of the most 'multicultural and diverse' places in the UK. And at nearly 7% Birmingham also has the highest unemployment rate in the UK. In fact, when it comes to unemployment there's a trend, and I'm afraid it's not a politically correct trend so outraged lefties might want to look away now.
The areas with the highest unemployment levels are...
Birmingham
Bradford
Hull
Luton
Blackburn
Blackpool
Liverpool
Peterborough
Slough
Burnley
...but they are all areas that are considered to be wonderfully multicultural and richly diverse. Surely this begs the question; do we really need more immigration, more multiculturalism, more diversity and yes, more unemployment?
The correct answer is of course, no, no, no, and no.

No, this must be wrong, immigrants come in to do the jobs that British people will not do, so within these communities the unemployment rate has to be lower otherwise things make no sense.

It depends on the type of immigration of course. The towns listed above are all places with high muslim populations and muslims are not noted for their work ethic. My experience of living in the UAE is that, if they want any job done, they tend to import labour from places like India. Muslims who come to the West select the country by which gives the best benefits - not which has the best chance of getting a job.
I thought that when we left the EU the idea was to stop bringing in migrants to do the low paid jobs, but to get the employers to pay decent wages that our attract own workers. Unfortunately the govt has reneged on that and set the required salary to get an entry visa at just over the "living" wage - which is crazy. So they're still undercutting local labour. We should have set the required salary at the average salary (£30k) or more and required immigrants to have health insurance etc etc.
That's what happens when you have an Indian PM.

Every ethnic group in the UK is at liberty to pursue their own interests as an ethic group - except one.
