These fucking useless council arsholes shoul get the order of the boot.........How come an individual has to do what these twats are highly paid for and then is being hunted down like a common criminal? We all know who the real criminals are and it isn't that do gooder who repaired that pothole.
Highways England chief hunts phantom pothole filler after enraged motorist pours concrete into huge crater that had closed road for months The work was carried out by a mystery motorist in Lostwithiel, Cornwall But Cornwall Highways said the concrete pouring was done 'without consent'
Yet another useless arogant prick who is paid a fortune for doing jack plus an index linked pension.
Highway chiefs are hunting a phantom pothole filler after an enraged motorist poured concrete into a huge crater that closed the road for months.
The work was carried out in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, as the mystery volunteer decided to patch up the road which has been shut since April.

Yes, but he's not really being hunted is he? And, given that he's a "Mystery" and a "Phantom" how on Earth do they know that he was "Enraged"?
It's DM twaddlery.
But then I suppose "Fed up locals fill in hole" isn't much of a story either.

Potholes are a constant problem where I live. Dumping some concrete in the potholes would probably last longer than the tarmac they put in now.

I know very well that dumping concrete into potholes would not last long and so does everyone else.

I doubt that you have even concreted a base for a shed in your life . When I was younger I learnt a lot of scientific theory so I can predict many things I have not experienced. It's a very powerful tool. You only need to learn one theory to predict millions of things which would take you forever to suss out by trial and error.

My father tried it on his own drive with some tarmac but even that ended up coming off. What you have to do is get one of those machines that blasts the whole patch and surrounding tarmac so it all melts in together. For a driveway, it really means it is time to get the whole thing resurfaced, or the next patch will come along soon after.

You don’t need to learn scientific theory to know that a lump concrete will no adhere well to tarmac. You need to have a lack of self awareness to delude yourself into thinking you are educating others by telling them the bleeding obvious .

Luckily I have not ever had to deal with a pothole in my driveway, just the occasional crack.
