I didn't really give Liz Truss a "free pass" in my post, Steve. But, if you think I did, it might be because I believe her policies were not actually responsible for tanking the economy. That was the deliberate policy of the globalists fighting her policy which went against their agenda, in my opinion. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like, but 7 weeks as a PM - was that just? Rishi is all signed up to the globalist, net zero, low growth agenda. Those globalists could not tolerate 2 mavericks in a row. Apologies for saying so but you do sound like something of a conspiracy theorist on that one. That the uncosted Truss giveaways mostly to the better off spooked the markets which in turn tanked the economy is the far more likely explanation. It doesn't bear any examination - the amounts involved were piddling. Now, if a big noise is made - that's another matter.

In the Telegraph video report on migrant hotels which someone posted earlier Nige was asked what he felt the political fallout from the latest immigration crisis would be. He said there could well be another 'insurgency' like the one that made UKIP a key player and led to the collapse of the Coalition, the Tories being spooked into the Referendum and, ultimately, Brexit.
He specifically mentioned the Reform Party as the most likely insurgents in the context of the next election.
What say we?

I have examined the Reform UK Party with interest and have listened to much of what they say. My impression is that Richard Tice lacks charisma and is rather flat. The Party is not improved by adding aged loonies like Ann Widdecombe to the line up. They have quite clearly identified all the current failings of the Tory Party, immigration, Brexit, NHS, woke, civil service and the National Broadcaster, but I have yet to see or read any comprehensive proposed solution to anything. So, despite the idea of a proper right wing party to replace the Conservatives I'm afraid that at this time they are not convincing me very much, having said that I think that Belinda De Lucy has a nice bottom, but that is about it.
