Early days, just three councils declared so far. Two labour holds, one Tory hold. Like I said, early days.

LOL, yes indeed there's no doubt I'm under attack from outraged lefties, no biggie. Ref the elections, it seems the biggest winner is going to be NOC, apathy.

The trend seems to be, at least so far and there's a long way to go, that councils are remaining Tory but with a reduced majority, or going to NOC. It seems so far at least, that considering we have had 13 years of Tory government and local elections are traditionally a slap for the government, things are not so bad, of course there's a long way to go. The picture will have changed a lot in 12 hours time and I suspect not in favour of the Tories, I also suspect Labour will not do as well as they expect, but will consider NOC as a victory.
All I'm seeing so far is Lab hold, Con hold, and NOC. No wins so far. But like I said, there's a long way to go.

Everyone expects the government to take a kicking during mid term locals, but so far Labour are not doing nearly as well as they should be. I concede there's a long way to go. One thing that's disappointing is turnout, as low as 20% in some constituencies. In my opinion if people cant be bothered to vote they have no right to an opinion.

Tories are currently projected to lose 1000 seats tonight. Stafford looking like conceding control to Labour. You could well wake up to a Labour council tomorrow morning Red.

I doubt they will lose a thousand, that's the worst case. Stafford wont go Labour lol, the very thought.

BBC are projecting a loss of 1,144 for the Tories, a gain of 397 for Labour and a gain of 261 for the Lib Dems. Based on the results so far and trends continuing through the night.

Tbh, I'm surprised the BBC are predicting such a small loss as 1,144. However, it was always obvious the government were going to take a kicking. I see Tory wards are not comming out to vote, perhaps Tory voters who are not impressed with this government, which would include me, have decided to withhold their vote, a warning shot before the general election next year perhaps.

Labour gain Stoke on Trent. Getting uncomfortably close to you neck of the woods Red. Not really, Stoke was always a Labour stronghold. The biggest political surprise anyone in this neck of the woods had was Stoke going Tory, it was hilarious. Stoke was never going to stay Tory.

Labour gain Stoke on Trent. Getting uncomfortably close to you neck of the woods Red. Lets not forget btw, as far as I can see so far, all Labour gains have been from NOC, and all Tory losses have been to NOC. As yet, Labour have not taken control of a Tory council. However only 39 out of 230 councils have declared so far, I'm sure in about 12 hours time the situation will have changed and the Tories will have taken a right kicking. As expected.
