That's right, Benny. The Nazis were left wing because they had the word socialist in their party name, just as North Korea is the most democratic country in the world because its official name is The Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

They weren't 'communist' countries, Benny.

Communism is about the redistribution of surplus. It's not possible in countries where there is barely enough for subsistence, let alone any surplus.

Terrible things happened in 'communist Russia' and the 'communist' far east. Latter-day communists  who deign to defend Soviet Russia (of which I am not one), say that every political system requires time to become 'civilised'. They say that 'communism' in Russia had only 60 years.

They invite supporters of capitalism to look at the first 60 years of capitalism in Europe. They say they will see harsh property laws in the UK that see children hanged for stealing a loaf of bread, all with the intention of bedding in the necessary degree of respect for private property that capitalism requires to work. They say they will see slaves in North America, people, including small children, working and living in the most horrendous conditions in the UK's cities and beyond, bloody imperial wars taking millions of lives to gain markets for capitalism, millions dying of starvation because foods are kept artifically high in the service of capitalism, etc. They admit that Soviet Russia was bad, but they say that the capitalist West was little better. They also admit that things got better in the West, but insist that the same thing would have happened in 'communist' countries if the capitalist West had permitted them to develop.

There is a lot of talk about Gulags in Russia. Of course, they were disgusting. But there is an argument (I can't say whether it's a good argument), that capitalism requires high levels of incarceration to work. Those who make this argument point at the 2 million people in prison in the US. As for torture and executions, look no further Guatanamo Bay for what Western capitalism is capable of.

You can point out the atrocities of 'communism' in Russia and elsewhere if you please. There is some justification. But don't pretend capitalism has been any better, and don't pretend that you know that that the modern day capitalist West is better than that which will have developed in communist countries when it has been around for 200 years also. As pointed out, the first 60 years of capitalism were nothing to brag about.

So what? is my response. Maybe you'd like to post some proof that can you trace your English ancestry back to Lancashire's primordial slime.

Every attempt at communism has failed ,failed badly and failed quickly .
The lefties that supported the USSR even after the gulags and the failed five year plans were known about ( dont get us started with China) has the excuse at hand that it wasn’t proper communism.
So who is going to implement the real kind of communism? You darling?

Just out of curiosity, Benny, are those who call for white jobs for white people on the left or on the right? Are those who wanted to stop free movement of people because it supposedly lowered the earning potential of 'indigenous' Brits on the left or right?

The facts are that communism failed every time . It was a total failure in every case .
Capitalism adapts and is the most successfully political doctrine .
Why would anyone use your criteria to judge a system that has never succeeded?


If you look at the first hundred years of communism and use the same measure , it will have failed in every case ..see I can do that.😁
