I think it's obvious who the 'people' want, most people on the streets are saying Sunak ... who's he?
While everyone is saying 'Boris is back'.
That should spell out to the Tories who will make the most impact, ask themselves do they want to win the next general election, or do they want to feed over inflated egos?

I am enjoying this battle for Number 10, will Boris be back, he did say he would be back, he may just do it, or will Sunak win by a nose or ten lengths

Within moments of those around Boris Johnson claiming they have hit the threshold of 100 MPs backing the former prime minister, scepticism from other Conservative MPs. "Hogwash", "absolute garbage", "clearly nonsense" are among the phrases being used. Why? Well, the publicly-declared number of backers is much, much lower and — bluntly — his track record when it comes to truth is patchy. These races are all about generating momentum, even a sense of inevitability. There are MPs inclined to back him but keen to keep their counsel for now — but you can expect a blizzard of demands that Johnson’s team produce a list if their claim is to be seen to be credible www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-63338261See? This is what happens because Johnson is a well known liar. Only idiots believe what he says without evidence. So now he has to prove it.

If Tory donors don't want to waste their money then they should be 'telling' the Tories to get behind the clear peoples choice... Boris.

You're a lot dopey, and one of the biggest bullies and aggressive posters on here, you're just a toothless tiger, like most of us have sussed out.

Confirmed Boris will hit 100 MP nominations by end of the day. Meaning the decision will go to the Tory membership.
Tory membership polls show Boris is clear favourite.
It's looking like Bojo is gunna make the most remarkable come back in British political history.

Don't tell Morgan or he'll start hurling insults, his trigger word is 'Boris', mention that name and he's like a man possessed FFS.

I think the Tories were serious about wanting to get rid of Boris. Only the replacement was the mother of all miscalculations.
However, they still don't want Boris.

Kind of explains how lightheartedly Sunak took his defeat. He knew his time will come regardless.
However, surely even he didn't realise his time would come this soon.

This is simple, all political commentators have said the same
If Sunak gets 100 or more votes (he has 125) and Boris gets less that 100, Sunak automatically becomes leader and PM.
But if Boris gets 100 or more, MPs then vote for their recommendation but it ultimately goes to the Tory membership.
Basically MPs will elect Sunak
Membership will elect Boris

The people on the streets as you put don't have a say and that makes this circus a grotesque pararody of Democracy.
